1.2 km from Setta Beach, guesthouse minkä is a recently renovated property set in Amami and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. hosted by a lovely couple. also if you not speak japanese there is no problem to make things happen, super helpful and supportive. Now my second time and my go for place to stay on this beautiful island. i enjoy the tatami room, but also there is one room with a western bed. a kitchen with everything what is needed to prepare food and tea / coffee. I hope you enjoy this place like I do.

Exceptional view of Sakurajima and the ocean. The location was quiet and peaceful. Our room was large with a beautiful view of the ocean. The hotel was very clean and the staff were so helpful. The bed in this hotel was the most comfortable bed during our entire 3 weeks in Japan.

Live here like local Japanese do features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 40 km of Kagoshima Chuo Station and 41 km of Kagoshima Station. The host Yuki was very kind and showed me around the home and introduced me to other guests staying here. I got to experience living in a traditional Japanese tatami room and the futon was very comfortable. The stay was very enjoyable and the neighbourhood was very calm and peaceful

Situated in Amami, 500 metres from Yanigawa Shopping Street, Hotel Sundays Amami features air-conditioned accommodation and a restaurant. Amazing breakfast buffet (centered on local and traditional food). Completely free laundry. Very convenient location near the sea and city center. Very corteous employees. Dinner was not expensive and very tasty.

Located in Amami, 800 metres from Higashi Beach, みーまん奄美 provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a bar. The owner is very nice and helpful, he helped me find a rental car, and also told me where I can get food and other things that I need.

Set in Yakushima, within 10 km of Shiratani Unsuikyo and 35 km of Yakusugi Land, Yakushima Park Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The hospitality was impeccable. The host was always available for everything. Probably witnessed the peak of Japanese culture (with people being helpful in every way possible) here. The host (without even us asking him for anything) found that our shoes were wet after a trek put them for drying (on a drying machine) only for us to find the shoes all dried up the next day. Unbelievable. The location is walkable from the port and has house had everything you’d need. The kitchen and the shower was equipped with everything that you’d need during your stay. The house was small but very clean. Would highly recommend.

With sea views, Denpaku The Beachfront MIJORA is set in Amami and has a restaurant and free shuttle service. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. The view of the ocean was truly spectacular, it felt almost like we were in the ocean, with just the sound of the waves.
