I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely guest house for four days in September. Take-san was incredibly pleasant and courteous, always ready to assist whenever I needed help—even offering a convenient airport shuttle. The atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, and the entire property was clean and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in and would gladly stay here again.

1.2 km from Setta Beach, guesthouse minkä is a recently renovated property set in Amami and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. hosted by a lovely couple. also if you not speak japanese there is no problem to make things happen, super helpful and supportive. Now my second time and my go for place to stay on this beautiful island. i enjoy the tatami room, but also there is one room with a western bed. a kitchen with everything what is needed to prepare food and tea / coffee. I hope you enjoy this place like I do.

Live here like local Japanese do features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 40 km of Kagoshima Chuo Station and 41 km of Kagoshima Station. Yuki is a super Host! His guest house is very charming. Very nice room. Great terrace, with private hot spring for foot bath. Iyuki has been extremely helpful for everything. I had a great time at his place!

Situated a few steps from Iso Beach and 5.4 km from Kagoshima Chuo Station, Guest House CARAPAN in Kagoshima features air-conditioned accommodation with views of the sea and free WiFi. Loved this beautiful property - so unusual and stunning, with great views of Sakurajima. The rooms are super comfortable and cosy, and the shower is nice and hot with good water pressure. The host was very kind and attentive and made me feel at home. There was a little packed breakfast including fresh GF muffins waiting for me in the morning which I took on my adventures up Sakurajima. The location is on a beach a little further out of the town area, but there are buses and it’s an easy walk too if you want or need to get home later than the bus timetable. I walked both nights I stayed and it was a lovely end to the evening (and helps with digestion!). There is a Joyful, 7/11, and a Starbucks that open until night time or early hours just over the road if you need something local to ride you over. Loved my stay here and would return.

Situated in Amami, 500 metres from Yanigawa Shopping Street, Hotel Sundays Amami features air-conditioned accommodation and a restaurant. It’s pretty with sea view in my room. Space is clean and comfortable with public bath and free laundry room. Excellent hotel to me!

Located in Amami, 800 metres from Higashi Beach, みーまん奄美 provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a bar. The owner is very nice and helpful, he helped me find a rental car, and also told me where I can get food and other things that I need.

Set in Yakushima, within 10 km of Shiratani Unsuikyo and 35 km of Yakusugi Land, Yakushima Park Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Old but in a good way, I felt very at home:)

With sea views, Denpaku The Beachfront MIJORA is set in Amami and has a restaurant and free shuttle service. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. The view of the ocean was truly spectacular, it felt almost like we were in the ocean, with just the sound of the waves.
