Situated in Ibusuki in the Kagoshima region, with Iwasaki Art Museum nearby, 指宿 潮音 Ibusuki Shione provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath. This is one of our favourite accommodations during our one week trip in Kyushu. The location is perfect, esp if you had a car. Less than 10 minute drive to the Saraku Sand Bath, supermarket and JR station. It's also close to Ryugu Jingu and Tamatebako Onsen. The room has a big balcony with ocean view, and it was superb to watch the sunset and sunrise. The room has enough amenities and cooking equipments to make a small meal. The beds are large and comfortable. The natural onsen was a surprise bonus, and it is true onsen because we could smell sulphur from it! The host, Takada-san, showed us spectacular hospitality from the very beginning. The responses were always quick and warm. We deeply feel the love Takada-san have for Ibusuki. Ibusuki is such a lovely ocean village with high quality onsen, and the best sashimi I have ever had (among my 5 visits to Japan). We highly recommend everyone to visit Ibusuki and stay at Takada-san's accommodation!

Situated within 1.2 km of Tomori Beach and 5.9 km of Amami Park, 奄美ゲストハウス宇宿サンライズビーチ provides rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Amami. Take-san was very friendly and drove me to the supermarket... very kind!!

Set just 1.2 km from Setta Beach, guesthouse minkä provides accommodation in Amami with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as a shared kitchen. Great and lovely guesthouse! Very comfy and clean.

The view from our room was spectacular-sea, volcano, coastline. Room is quite spacious and well equipped. Great location, easy access to the city center.

Situated in Tarumizu, within 31 km of Kushira Heiwa Arena and 39 km of Ogawa-no-Taki Waterfall, Fairfield by Marriott Kagoshima Sakurajima features accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi... Beautiful property by the ocean. The staff was friendly, even if my partner could speak Japanese the staff member talked to me in English and I really appreciated that ! Thank you

Live here like local Japanese do features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 40 km of Kagoshima Chuo Station and 41 km of Kagoshima Station. The host was so incredibly nice and welcoming. Tatami room and everything. The foot bath was right outside the room and felt amazing. Was surprised to find out that the bath had it's own thermal water pipe in addition to the normal pipes. Tried one of the local souchus that were available to freely taste and it was really good. Just bummed that I only stayed for 1 night. Definitely worth staying for at least 2 days or more. Especially if you're coming with a car.

Situated in Amami, 500 metres from Yanigawa Shopping Street, Hotel Sundays Amami features air-conditioned accommodation and a restaurant. The hotel is very new and facilities are user friendly, excellent location and beautiful sea view, staff are polite. Wide range of breakfast choices. Would definitely stay here again!

Located in Amami, 800 metres from Higashi Beach, みーまん奄美 provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a bar. The owner is very nice and helpful, he helped me find a rental car, and also told me where I can get food and other things that I need.

Set in Yakushima, within 10 km of Shiratani Unsuikyo and 35 km of Yakusugi Land, Yakushima Park Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The hospitality was impeccable. The host was always available for everything. Probably witnessed the peak of Japanese culture (with people being helpful in every way possible) here. The host (without even us asking him for anything) found that our shoes were wet after a trek put them for drying (on a drying machine) only for us to find the shoes all dried up the next day. Unbelievable. The location is walkable from the port and has house had everything you’d need. The kitchen and the shower was equipped with everything that you’d need during your stay. The house was small but very clean. Would highly recommend.

With sea views, Denpaku The Beachfront MIJORA is set in Amami and has a restaurant and free shuttle service. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. We spent an amazing few days at Denpaku The Beachfront Mijora during our recent trip to Amami. The hotel architecture was amazing and did a great job of leveraging the beachfront location. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable after a long day of activities. The breakfast each morning was a real treat.
