The view of Sakurajima was believable. Watching the sunrise with such a view was a blessing. Room Size was very big. Loved the shower and room facilities. Onsen has indoor and outdoor options. Great place to relax and be adventurous as you want to.

Situated in Tarumizu, within 31 km of Kushira Heiwa Arena and 39 km of Ogawa-no-Taki Waterfall, Fairfield by Marriott Kagoshima Sakurajima features accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi... Was lucky to experience a lot of hotels during my travels, and this one was outstanding – like a 5-star! Amazing.

Live here like local Japanese do features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 40 km of Kagoshima Chuo Station and 41 km of Kagoshima Station. Everything, place is very clean, conviniently located and really enjoyable to stay in. The host is super friendlly and explains everything when you arrive. Host offers mineral water, bottled tea for free, and there are also some sakes from local producers available for testing.

Situated in Amami, 500 metres from Yanigawa Shopping Street, Hotel Sundays Amami features air-conditioned accommodation and a restaurant. The hotel is very new and facilities are user friendly, excellent location and beautiful sea view, staff are polite. Wide range of breakfast choices. Would definitely stay here again!

Located in Amami, 800 metres from Higashi Beach, みーまん奄美 provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a bar. The property itself was amazing! There is a lovely common space where you can cook and hang out! The beach right down the street is beautiful and empty and you can rent so many different water activities! Only thing: restaurants around the place are often closed or far away, you can take the bus there (which is going every half an hour until ~19:00) or make sure you have at least something you can eat ready at the hostel so in case you don't find something you are settled. There is a convenience store right next to the hostel.

Set in Yakushima, within 10 km of Shiratani Unsuikyo and 35 km of Yakusugi Land, Yakushima Park Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The hospitality was impeccable. The host was always available for everything. Probably witnessed the peak of Japanese culture (with people being helpful in every way possible) here. The host (without even us asking him for anything) found that our shoes were wet after a trek put them for drying (on a drying machine) only for us to find the shoes all dried up the next day. Unbelievable. The location is walkable from the port and has house had everything you’d need. The kitchen and the shower was equipped with everything that you’d need during your stay. The house was small but very clean. Would highly recommend.

With sea views, Denpaku The Beachfront MIJORA is set in Amami and has a restaurant and free shuttle service. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. One of my best hotel stays ever! The hotel staff is extremely friendly, helpful and trying to accommodate English communication. The rooms are amazing and exactly as shown on the images; beautiful design, clean and offering the necessary amenities. The views are breathtaking!
