Basically you can explore and explore Nara main attractions easily. Seriously, stay and you will not regret the peace you get and easy walks to Nara park. I went and pet the deers late at night when all the tourist left. They were very gentle.

Located within 7.2 km of Iwafune Shrine and 10 km of Nozaki Kannon Shrine, Shionome house provides rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Ikoma. I loved it there, it felt like home. Both of them were very nice, I don’t know a lot of Japanese but we still managed to talk on Japanese and English and they were so lovely! We found some same interests that we all liked so it was even easier to talk. Really really nice owners. You can also meet a lot of other people there from all around the world and I personally didn’t mind waiting for the bathroom. Breakfast was very delicious and always different! I really can’t say anything bad maybe my best stay in Japan until now and will try to come back again and see how my new friends are doing. You can rent towels or a toothbrush or bring your own. I felt like home and wish i stayed longer. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Kanko Ryokan Yamato features city views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Ikoma, 8.8 km from Iwafune Shrine. A great place to spend your day away from big cities and sights flooded with tourists. This is a ryokan so you get a nice futon bed, tatami floor, yukatas. The view from our room was great! We’ve also ordered a delicious Japanese style breakfast. The public bath is actually two rooms that have a lock, so you could go inside with your family together. This was very nice for me because I’ve been traveling with my partner and a 1,5y son. The area is quiet and nice. There is a temple you need to go uphill. The area is mountainous with lots of stairs. You take the cable car to get there. Keep in mind that there are no supermarkets there, you need to go down by cable car to Ikoma. But there are some restaurants and cafes so you won’t get hungry. I think it’s even more beautiful in fall, you can enjoy momiji. We’ve stayed in late March and the weather was not the best, like 10-15 C. So we’ve used a heater in the room and in the bath. Don’t hesitate to ask the owner to show you how to use it

Beautiful property and the host was amazing. He was so nice and gave amazing recommendations. He called a restaurant to make a reservation for which he recommended and it was one of the best yakiniku places we’ve been to. We also went out to a karaoke bar with him and we had a great time! It was a nice property but the host made the experience even better!

Fairfield by Marriott Nara Tenri Yamanobenomichi is located in Tenri, within 13 km of Nara Station and 28 km of Iwafune Shrine. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the room was great.
