JamboHouse Lamu is set in Lamu, 300 metres from Gallery Baraka, 500 metres from Lamu Museum, and 500 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. The host gave me all the detail information about Lamu island and it was really helpful! Also, free airport pick up was very nice.

The property was just perfect for a solo traveller like myself. Great location, helpful staff, a pool to cool off and amazing breakfast.

Featuring a shared lounge and views of garden, Shela Bliss is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Lamu, 400 metres from Manda Beach. We loved the decor, the quiet situation and the breakfast served by Emmanuel who hosted perfectly. It felt like a real home, not an anonymous guest house. The beach was incredibly clean and despite the poverty very little was being hawked so it was truly peaceful. Shela is far preferable to Lamu.

Featuring accommodation with a balcony, Sai Shanti House is set in Lamu. The apartment, housed in a building dating from 2002, is 200 metres from the Mnarani House. Coming from Amu house,where they saw me As dollars nit as human being ,I found this Place paradise ! Chris is such a lovely person ‘ God blesses him! The place is perfect , very spacious , Comfortable , Beautiful

Featuring a terrace with garden views, a private beach area and a garden, Madakani House can be found in Lamu, close to Shela Beach and 100 metres from Mnarani House. The staff were amazing - so friendly and attentive. We have a young family and they were great with the children too. The house is a beautiful old Swahili house. The rooms are on the upper floors meaning there is a nice breeze to keep you cool at night and during the day. We have 2 small children and easily fitted into one family room. There was also a great roof terrace for sundowners and/or dinner each night. Location was very convenient - a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Edwin was very helpful in organising dhows, dinner and bonfire in the dunes etc. We will definitely be back!
