JamboHouse Lamu is set in Lamu, 300 metres from Gallery Baraka, 500 metres from Lamu Museum, and 500 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. Fantastic place to stay in Lamu old town. I'm really happy with this choice as I could experience Lamu in a more authentic way, while staying in a venue that offered a cozy and pleasant comfort. Arnold (the host of the place) was really helpful in giving tips and suggestions on how to make the most of my time there. He also helped plan some activities (as a solo traveler this was super helpful as some activities required a small group of people). Simple accommodations but very clean and hosted with care.

Situated within 500 metres of Shela Beach and 200 metres of Mnarani House in Lamu, Jua House provides accommodation with seating area. The bed and breakfast features city views and a sun terrace. Absolutely amazing place. Lots of nice pockets to sit and relax, the rooms and the whole hotel are beautiful, and Amani, who runs it, is lovely and incredibly helpful -- we were met at the airport even though we forgot to share our flight time! Could not recommend more.

The property was just perfect for a solo traveller like myself. Great location, helpful staff, a pool to cool off and amazing breakfast.

Featuring a shared lounge and views of garden, Shela Bliss is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Lamu, 400 metres from Manda Beach. It was a great stay. Immanuel was incredible, helping us with directions, turn down service, recommendations and breakfast. The home itself is beautiful with great amenities and especially views of the city.

Featuring garden views, Sai Shanti House provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 300 metres from Manda Beach. Chris is an amazing host. The house is lovely, perfectly located and very reasonably priced. I was solo travelling and felt very safe at Sai Shanti!
