Hostel tucked away behind old town centre, uphill so breezy (good), great views from THREE terraces. (Stairs!!!) Bit of a hike to get there but very interesting little streets and you get to meet your neighbours on the way in and out. Room spacious, well equipped; warm but fans (and you can sleep on terrace if steaming). Private bathrooms. Really nice breakfasts, good choices, eggs/veggies/pancakes/toast/butter/jam, fruit juice, fruit, all super fresh and beautifully cooked and served to order plus tea/coffee available all day. Arnold and Fred work very hard to keep things clean and tidy, and offer tons of info on EVERYTHING you could want to know. Plus good wifi. Extremely friendly atmosphere. Excellent value for money; I strongly recommend, esp. for a single traveller, felt very comfortable and relaxing.

I Lamu, et steinkast fra Manda-stranden og 4 minutters gange fra Mnarani House, ligger Red Moon House. Her tilbys overnatting med gratis WiFi, klimaanlegg, en hage og en terrasse.. Everything was incredible. A luxury vacation with staff that make you feel at home. Food and service was incredible.

It is well appointed, comfortable, and clean. It has a luxurious king size bed with high quality linen. Staff are friendly and unobtrusive.

Immanuel was incredible, helping us with directions, turn down service, recommendations and breakfast. The home itself is beautiful with great amenities and especially views of the city.

Everything. The place is awesome and the host super kind and helpful. And I couldn't believe how fresh the apartment was when outside it was overwhelmingly hot!

Sai Shanti House har overnatting med balkong og gratis WiFi og ligger i Lamu. Denne leiligheten ligger i en bygning fra 2002, 3 minutters gange fra Manda-stranden og 200 meter fra Mnarani House. unbelievable beautiful designed apartment in the maza of shela, but still easy to find. the host and housekeeper are all very kind and being responsible, always check what we need.

The staff were amazing - so friendly and attentive. We have a young family and they were great with the children too. The house is a beautiful old Swahili house. The rooms are on the upper floors meaning there is a nice breeze to keep you cool at night and during the day. We have 2 small children and easily fitted into one family room. There was also a great roof terrace for sundowners and/or dinner each night. Location was very convenient - a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Edwin was very helpful in organising dhows, dinner and bonfire in the dunes etc. We will definitely be back!
