Beautiful traditional guest house with all essential amenities, kept very clean and with wonderfully accommodating staff and owner, ready to go the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. My family and I had a wonderful stay. The family room is fantastic, with a lovely indoor terrace to accommodate active children.

Hostel tucked away behind old town centre, uphill so breezy (good), great views from THREE terraces. (Stairs!!!) Bit of a hike to get there but very interesting little streets and you get to meet your neighbours on the way in and out. Room spacious, well equipped; warm but fans (and you can sleep on terrace if steaming). Private bathrooms. Really nice breakfasts, good choices, eggs/veggies/pancakes/toast/butter/jam, fruit juice, fruit, all super fresh and beautifully cooked and served to order plus tea/coffee available all day. Arnold and Fred work very hard to keep things clean and tidy, and offer tons of info on EVERYTHING you could want to know. Plus good wifi. Extremely friendly atmosphere. Excellent value for money; I strongly recommend, esp. for a single traveller, felt very comfortable and relaxing.

Everything was incredible. A luxury vacation with staff that make you feel at home. Food and service was incredible.

Manda Plajı noktasına 400 m mesafede bulunan Shela Bliss tesisi size konfor sağlamak amacıyla ortak oturma alanı, teras ve ortak mutfak olanaklarına sahip bir konaklama imkanı sunar. It was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had. The house is a traditional Swahili house, with a beautiful terrace and views, a tastefully decorated interior with all the necessary amenities and a well stacked kitchen, which is always a plus with kids. Our host Abadalla is quite simply the best host I’ve ever had - and we travel quite a bit. He was kind, thoughtful and basically carefully planned our entire stay, coordinating tours, recommending awesome local spots and day activities along the way. He took take of it all, from airport pick up, to sunset Dhow, to Lamu tour, he negotiated the prices and made the trip ultra smooth. He also served us beautiful breakfast every morning, with a large variety of fruits, Swahili pastries, omelettes, etc. He also stocked the fridge and made sure we always had drinking water for a very reasonable fee. The nicest and warmest guy, who also shared many special moments with us, and shared stories and history of Lamu as well. We would highly recommend Shela Bliss to anyone. An outstanding experience!

The place is awesome and the host super kind and helpful. And I couldn't believe how fresh the apartment was when outside it was overwhelmingly hot!

Very warm and friendly reception. Beyond expectations! We were initially doubting to book due to a false comment of bathroom privacy issue, but we took chances and had a lovely stay, bathroom/shower is separated with locking mechanism from both sides. Host is super friendly, and greets/welcomes from Jetty, and even from Airport offers pickup service, which feels like home. We broke a glass accidently and they were cool about it too. Very accommodating, always at service to take us around as historical alleys there don't show up in Maps. We will return for sure.
