We very much appreciated this after a long flight. The rooms are new and have everything you need including all toiletries and full kitchen and washing machine. Set in a restored French colonial villa adjacent to the Royal Palace, Palace Gate Hotel & Resort offers accommodations in Phnom Penh with views of the Tonle Sap River. From the moment I arrived at Palace Gate I felt so welcomed and valued. The welcome drink and cold towel was very much appreciated, and the check in process was very smooth. The whole feel of the hotel was calm and serene, little a lovely little oasis in the middle of a bustling city. The room I had was beautiful, clean, spacious and with a wonderful view of the river. Despite being in a busy area, the room was quiet and I couldnt hear traffic or outside noise at all. Slept really well on a very comfortable bed. The pool was fantastic, swam every day, with some delicious cocktails poolside in the evening. Pool snacks were very tasty too! I dodnt get the chance to eat at the restaurant while I was staying but the food there looked amazing. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very attentive - special thanks to Sokkeang who gave me some great advice for my stay. Would definitely go back :)
