The entire hotel was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. When we left the hotel for the bus around the edge, the porter accompanied us with an umbrella, since we didn't have one. We also had great cocktails at the rooftop bar, thanks to Noch!

They have all been exceptional. The reception, house cleaning and the waters have all mede me felt very welcome. The room is amazing, nicely decorated and clean. Specious, with a small private balcony. The gym is small, but has all the training equipment needed. The pool is amazing and the restaurant is great. Breakfast is varies a little but is always full of local and western options. Location is good, walking distance to some cultural landmarks like the Royal place and wlaking street

Set in a restored French colonial villa adjacent to the Royal Palace, Palace Gate Hotel & Resort offers accommodations in Phnom Penh with views of the Tonle Sap River. We stayed only one night ... basically, a quick stopover. We generally book with "breakfast included". The breakfast buffet here was very good ... plenty of tasty choices. We did not use the facilities because our stay was a) so short, b) the location is so good. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the palace complex, a municipal park and a riverfront walk that features many (dozens?) of restaurants and fast food outlets. Our room was very spacious and well decorated Hotel staff were courteous and very helpful. We were able to store our luggage with the concierge on checkout day while we went on a day long tour. Wish we had the time to stay longer.
