Sea Sand Resort features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Kalpitiya. The property is around 200 metres from Kandakuliya Beach, 600 metres from Kudawa Beach and 2.1 km from Kalpitiya Beach. Such a peaceful place and very clean and comfortable room. The staff is kind and friendly. 2 minutes away from the beach, but if you don't mind walking there are so many different locations to swim and enjoy the sun if you are not into kite surfing. Breakfast is great! I totally recommend it!

We stayed for two nights and had a great experience overall. Dylan, the owner, was very friendly and arranged a full package including safari, accommodation and food. The safari was well organised and ran smoothly. While the package cost slightly more than what was advertised in the Booking.com pictures, it was still one of the more affordable options we found. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed - we especially enjoyed the minibar - and we loved the views over the paddy fields. The highlight of the stay was definitely the dinner: the food was excellent, and we really enjoyed sitting and dining together with other guests. The area itself doesn’t have much to do apart from the safari, but this is the same for all accommodation in the area. Overall, a very welcoming and enjoyable stay- would definitely recommend.

Loved the sea view from balcony . We really enjoyed the clean and nice pool. The rooms were very specios and tidy. Roy and Cinthi provided delicious great food for us. We had a great and relaxing stay there.

With garden views, Agro Village Resort, Kalpitiya is set in Kalpitiya and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. This property offers access to a terrace, darts, free private parking and free... Very quiet relaxing spot with well designed units. The service and food were excellent. An enjoyable 15 minute bicycle (they are free) ride to Elements Resort on the beach. The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

Windy Waves Kite Beach & Nature Resort is true to its name. Set in a beautiful location the huts and facilities are built from locally sourced natural materials in traditional village style (by the staff). It is an absolute treat if you like simplicity and sustainable design. The staff are warm and friendly and go above and beyond. When I left some things behind they were delivered back to Negombo at no cost. Super grateful for a memorable stay. Would love to come back.

Set in Wilpattu, The Backwaters Lodge offers accommodation with seating area. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Greeted by super friendly staff. Rooms are great. Our tree house was right next to a monkey family’s tree house ;-) we walked around the lodge, had amazing three course dinner, went on a late night river boat safari, and a half day morning safari. Spotted crocs, elephants, saw fresh leopard footprints (couldn’t spot the cat, however she was definitely there), so many different birds, monkeys. Had breakfast from the provided basket and lunch when we arrived back at the lodge. The location is great, on the river, close to the Wilpattu entrance. We stayed one night but can recommend staying two.
