This is a family owned and operated hotel which makes it special and personal even though it is not a hotel in a building that looks like an old house. The two brothers we met, Juan and Rafa, were wonderful, friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like family. The room was simple but spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. The patios and terraces, on several different levels, were beautiful affording good views of Bernal's famous monolith and the dome of the church in the center of town. Breakfast is cooked to order, there is a lovely lounge with a large- screen TV and the ability to make tea or coffee round the clock. The hotel provides an airport shuttle any time. The family also owns The Rocca restaurant in town. We had traditional Mexican food there suggested by Juan and also some of the freshest, most delicious pizzas we have ever had.

This hotel alone is a reason to come to Querétaro. It feels like a perfect weekend experience, especially if you’re lucky to catch a concert happening on site. But even without any events, it’s a pleasure to spend the evening at the brewery bar and then start the morning with a swim in the warm pool. The staff are genuinely kind and attentive, the territory is beautiful, calm, and thoughtfully designed. It’s one of those places you want to come back to — and proudly bring your friends to. A small note for future guests: during both days of our stay, all spa treatments were fully booked, so if you’re planning to use the spa, it’s definitely worth reserving in advance. That said, the shared spa areas — the sauna and the humid room — are accessible and very pleasant. Special thanks to the administrator Ilyas (sorry, I may have misheard the name) for the care and attention. You can really feel the enormous work and dedication behind this project. It’s deeply impressive and deserves great respect. Wishing the owners and the whole team all the best.

I Bernal, bare 19 minutters gange fra Bernal-monolitten og 46 kilometer fra Polytecnic University of Querétaro ligger Casa Morada. Fer and his family were so friendly, even saying this is your house. This was such an unusual room. We loved it. The bedding and towels were wonderful. The room was quiet and bernal is such a cute city. The room even had a pink coffee maker to match the purple theme. Thank you for the Mexican hospitality.
