Barbara's Boutique Hostel in Antigua Guatemala provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hostel building and facilities were 10/10. The hostel is cleaned thoroughly and looked after really well. You can tell a lot has been invested to make it feel so luxurious. The kitchen is so well equipped with oil and lots of spices. The breakfast everyday is lovely, and additionally there are sometimes snacks like banana bread left out for the guests, and the hot chocolate station too! The staff are really friendly too and can’t do enough to help. If you’re doing Acatenango, you can leave stuff here. Don’t book anywhere else in Antigua and miss out on Barbara’s!

The hotel is located just 200 meters from the Central Park of Antigua, it is a charming house from the colonial period with all the details of the time and which was converted into a hotel. I loved the ambience and the green plants and different places you could sit and relax in the common areas. A beautiful roof terrace and comfortable beds and good breakfast.

We had the half board option and the food was excellent. Very friendly staff and the owner checked in on us daily.
