Dinner and breakfast were included and both were excellent — tasty, well-prepared meals with generous portions. The staff were friendly, professional and made us feel truly welcome. Overall, everything — the accommodation, food, service, and atmosphere — exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended, and we would gladly return.

Let me get this straight: Japie’s Yard is the best place you could ask for in Swakopmund. Rooms are cozy and his pets are the sweetest (Iga, Japie, their dogs, Piccolo and Luna, their cats) , but that’s not the best part of it. Jessica and Peter went over and beyond in warming and welcoming us, from doing the laundry to setting up a fire after dinner time for us to chat and enjoy a drink. We felt so at ease with them, that we ended up sharing memories with Peter over a fire and under a starring night, surrounded by all his wonderful animals. Make yourself a favour and reserve Japie’s Yard when you come visit Swakopmund, you won’t regret it.

A good location for a stress-free holiday in Walvis Bay, Walvis Bay Wind Beggars is an apartment surrounded by views of the city. Lovely, clean and modern. Well situated. Super friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay there again
