I stayed in a tent at the top of the Mirador with the most amazing view of the sunrise in the morning. And the air was so cool and fresh up there - such a welcome relief from the heat of the jungle. And I was surrounded by the sounds and creatures of the jungle: frogs, birds, fireflies at night. Karen's food is delicious and filling. Home made with all local ingredients. Delicious juices. And local fruits afterwards. It is really easy to get to. Just a 45 minute walk from the entrance or a 20,000 cop motorbike. It's an hour and half to walk to Playa Brava and same to Playa Nudista and 10 minutes more to Cabo San Juan. The two different paths to both are close to the hostel so it's a perfect location which to explore different areas. And Karen speaks perfect English. If I didn't have to go meet a friend in Riohacha I would have loved to stay longer. They have links to the Kogis in Tayrona and I would have been very interested to visit them and learn more about their way of life.
