We used the Anchor for an overnight stop-over and was very impressed. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Being on the side of a well used road we had expected some noise but certainly wasn't bothered by it. We were too late for breakfast so cannot comment but have dined here in the past and would expect the breakfast to be of a similar excellent quality. All staff were friendly and efficient. Would certainly use again. Thank you!

Arrived some 4 hours earlier than expected but room was ready. Accompanied by a member of staff to our room in a cottage separate to the main building. Very clean and a quiet location. Breakfast superb and plentiful. Dinner also very good.

Cooked breakfast, excellent. Good value for B&B. Bedroom very clean, as was bathroom. Both a bit small but very adequate for an overnight stay. Suited our purpose - spot on.

Cheap! We were a party of three so had booked two rooms. The first was an outside room surprisingly nice, Very clean with a modern bathroom. Two double beds. The other room was in the actual main building that was up two flights of stairs. The key we were given worked but we couldn’t access the room as it appeared to be occupied so I can’t give feed back on this room although I could hazard a guess from the stairwells. We all stayed in the one room.

Location, staff friendliness, evening meal . We had to leave very early so we were given a very substantial fresh packed picnic to take away.

We stayed in room 14 it was not very clean, the single bed was hard to sleep on and to bol the kettle to make tea,you at to plug in round the double bed then walk back round with boiling water to make the tea .
