Cabins in Cahuita

The location was perfect for visiting the Cahuita National Park - and also close to other amenities like grocery stores and restaurants. Everything was within 5 mins walking. The host was amazing - she provided a lot of local information including best sites and shops. She even knew the 'usual spots' where sloths would hang out. Thanks to her advice we saw sloths and even kinkajous in the evening. Rooms are cozy and have everything you need: AC and hot water.

Beautiful garden and amazing pool, very nice and large cabana with kitchen and aircon. We love this place.

Beautiful grounds !!! Nestled into the jungle we woke up to hear monkeys and birds and the waves every morning. We saw sloths, monkeys , birds and lizards. Breakfast was amazing we looked forward to it every day - fresh fruit ! Staff were very sweet very helpful it was a ten out of ten. We had a small issue with our jacuzzi tub drain not closing and they took care of it immediately .

Wir wurden sehr nett und gastfreundlich empfangen und wir haben uns den ganzen Aufenthalt lang sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Poolbereich ist sehr schön und man sieht viele Tiere im Garten. Tolle Unterkunft!

What's not to like? Jessica and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts. The jungle sounds are comforting and civilization feels far away. We stayed an extra night to enjoy it again.

The surrounding was amazing, plants, trees like a botanical garden. Owner and stuff accommodated and friendly with any issues. I would recommend it to everyone. Banana from the garden was one of the best I ever had.

We loved the place due to its big surrounding garden, which is stunning and beautifully taken care of, and the team there which is super welcoming. The delicious breakfast was a new experience every day. You can spot wild animals (birds, frogs, spiders ...) on the premises and can hear the howler monkeys and many other sounds at night. I loved the power outlet on the patio. We would definetely come back!

The chifrijo at the hotel restaurant was the best we had during our trip to Costa Rica. Highly recommend.

I came for one day, stayed for four! You get a private room with attached bathroom for the price of a hostel. The town is close to Puerto vieho, and only a walking distance from the Cahuita national park

The place is beutiful, location is amazing, kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable and hammocks are great. It is in the tropics so you are always hot, but being by the ocean helps. Bathroom is clean enough. Showers are just old but still good.

Exceeded all expectations. Thank you to the staff for all their help. Beautiful well maintained grounds. We saw more animals in the yard than in a national park. Lots of hummingbirds, a raccoon came between 10am and 11, and a family of Capuchin monkeys came every day around 2pm. It was a lot of fun to watch them.

We stayed in a bungalow which was big, new and clean with a nice garden view. The owner was really nice and served us breakfast at the terrace in the morning.

Great location for spotting animals, we saw lots of monkeys, birds, a sloth, and two agoutis. The owners were very nice, and the room was clean and spacious for an affordable value, couldn’t recommend more!

The owners were very generous - they even allowed us to wash clothing in their washing machine. Alberto is a great guy and makes an amazing breakfast as well. The place is amazing and located at walking distance from an idyllic beach. Best place in Cahuita.

Excellent location. Close walk to restaurants and national park on one side and playa negra and playa grande on the other side. Animal and plant life unbelievable. Great hosts and very safe and friendly.

The bungalow was way more than I expected! It is a beautiful jungle paradise surrounded by gorgeous flora and fauna. We were lulled (lol) to sleep every night by howler monkeys. Thankfully I have heard them before or I would have been petrified! It is an easy walk to the town of Cahuita and the national park. The 2 hammocks were great for relaxing, napping and listening to the sounds of the surrounding jungle!

I loved being able to open the back door and overlook the nicely manicured grounds to see the ocean. One morning there was a sloth and another afternoon 2 toucans! If I opened the front door, it overlooked the pool, a quiet street, and you could hear howler monkeys and SO many birds! I saw several poison dart frogs and agouti scurrying around. There's so much wildlife to be seen! The location was great. It was a short walk to the stores, restaurants, and park entrance to the National Park. (.75mi to the park) It was less than .5mi to Playa Negra. Walking was easy, not a lot of traffic. Breakfast is included and was really delicious with a nice variety of items and fresh juices & coffee. Each day there was eggs, rice and beans, plantains, waffles, pastries, and sausage in addition to fresh fruits. The pool was clean and has a nice, zero entry. It was clean and not freezing cold! Speaking of clean...the rooms were VERY clean! We sat in the pool one day and could see the staff cleaning the rooms. In addition to the regular stuff (changing linens, sweeping) I saw them pull out the mini fridge and clean behind there, take out the night table and clean that out, after they were done washing the floors they would only go back in and schooch on towels so they wouldn't even leave footprints. They are VERY thorough! What really set this stay apart from others is the staff. They all went above and beyond. Everyone was so kind. Special thanks to Genesis and Jeanette. I wish I had the others' names as well. The ladies serving breakfast also clean the rooms. They work hard and are SO friendly! We had to leave early in the morning, before breakfast was served. However, they offered us coffee and muffins so we got to eat before leaving. How sweet!! They don't offer lunch or dinner but there's lots of walkable options nearby. There's a good place across the street with a happy hour, towards Playa Negra there are several other options.

Beautiful area with really nice cabins. Clean rooms and private bathroom attached. Right next to playa negra.

We liked the lodge a lot, that it’s in the wilderness walking distance to Cahuita National Park, the beach, and the restaurants in Cahuita. The head of the staff was Gaia and she was very nice and efficient. We also liked the pool and the breakfast and the fact that for a nominal fee they did our wash and dried it.
