Cabins in Milo

Armando might be the most wonderful person in Italy. The house is lovely, great views across the Ionian Sea to Calabria. A comfy living area to lounge in. A cozy kitchen to have a caffè and chat with Armando. We went trekking on Etna, toured around the mountain, and had apertivi in Taormina. His house is located near everything. He’s a real gem, full of interesting ideas about what to do and where to eat. We were sad to leave

Everything! Beautifully landscaped properly with stylish and very comfortable rooms. The restaurant is fantastic for breakfast and other meals. Lovely staff. We enjoyed being close to Taormina, Etna and other attractions.

A beautiful place in the nature! Peace and quiet with the company of lovely cats :) I totally recommend staying at this place if you'd like to chill and relax

This place is awesome. Full disclosure, you are WAY in there - like, on the hillside. The road getting in is super bumpy and hilly, so not for the faint of heart nor for a SmartCar I wouldn't think. We were in a midsize crossover and it struggled a bit. But once you're in, it's awesome. There are just a couple of buildings, with the amazing treehouse as advertised, and we stayed in the smaller, newer building which is basically on its own private property or section of the larger property. 2 bedrooms, one bath, not much else, really. A small table where you can grab a meal together, couch for 2 where the kids sat and decompressed (after their time in the treehouse) while we made one dinner onsite. Which I recommend if you want a glass of wine, because I was not willing to do the drive in - and all of the gates and locks - after a nice glass of Nero D'Avola. So bring provisions with you! We read, and took note of, that gem of advice from other reviewers and it's critical. But actually the supermarket in Nicolosi is awesome (IMPORTANT NOTE: you want to the Supermercati Deco at Via della Quercia, 24/A, 95030 Nicolosi because the other ones that maps suggest are all closed) and convenient, and so that's a quick and reasonably convenient option. But we hiked, toured the lava flows, kids had a blast in the tree house and on the grounds, and we did Mount Etna one day and Aci Castello (recommend!) another day. Great base camp, nice property and building and just what we wanted to do a couple of days of convening with nature. Fun with kids.

Superior location for a pre-Etna hike! Warm welcome from host. Wide variety of breakfast foods provided for self-catering before hike, including eggs, toast, juice, yogurt, cereal, etc. There was also pasta for self-catered dinner. Several members of our party enjoyed the sauna after dinner. We would have all loved to return post-hike for more sauna time, but alas, we had more to see in wonderful Sicily.

This is what all travellers wish for - friendly hosts - homely feel - comfortable - easy to communicate - an overall feeling of being welcome. The accommodation was clean and well set out with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The owners have set up such a beautifully relaxing environment - it is easy to see that love what they do.
