We had an incredible stay in Ella! The location in the middle of the jungle made the whole experience feel magical and peaceful. The Tea Cabins were absolutely perfect—beautifully designed, very comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The private pool was a highlight and made our stay even more special. Waking up to the jungle views was unforgettable. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella!

We loved everything about our stay here 💚 the staff are incredible and go above and beyond to ensure you're happy and taken good care of! The location is prime - in the hills and far enough from the main strip to enjoy the scerenity Ella has to offer! The room was lovely clean and spacious and the pool was an added bonus we never knew we needed! The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of local favourites, fruits and eggs! We can highly. This family-run guesthouse is located in a stunning setting—beneath the room flows a peaceful stream, with breathtaking views of the mountains and rice fields. Charma and his family were wonderful hosts who welcomed us with warmth and generosity, including a delicious dinner and a joyful family celebration for the Sri Lankan New Year. If you’re looking for an authentic, traditional Sri Lankan family experience—just 20 minutes from Ella, in a quiet area with incredible scenery—this is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

We loved everything about this property. After the business of the cities our stay at Train View Chalet was a much needed retreat for 2 nights. Quite and tranquil, we felt like we were in the midst of the forest. You can tell immediately the respect & care the team have for animals and local environment. They even have their own native bee hives!!! Eranda and his staff could not have been more helpful. We chose to have dinner here both nights instead of venturing out and glad we did. The food was delicious, we chose local cuisine but there are also many options for western food as well. Eranda also helped with transport from our previous hotel, and to our next & arranged a couple of stops to tourist attractions along the way. One of the highlights was the Jeep ride to Lipton's Seat. Just incredible.if you are not staying at the Chalet you can still book tours with them. We could not recommend Train View more highly. Thankyou Eranda

Actually, I had booked another hotel and I came here by mistake with my friend. And when I came there, I chose to stay here for this view. It is an incredibly beautiful, peaceful and absolutely beautiful place. Watching this beautiful view in the morning, hearing the sound of the birds, looking around was an incredibly nice experience. The price is very good, Most importantly, the room smelled clean. Usually rooms smell musty and you can't breathe, but here there is no musty smell at all. very close to the train station , walking distance is 10 minutes. The room was clean, the bathroom had hot water, internet connection perfect and in the room iron and ventilator etc. The lady who hosts me is incredibly hospitable and kind. She washed my clothes and gave me them, thank you very much🙏

Overall, our stay was wonderful in every aspect. I especially recommend booking this property for its location. Ella is a very touristy place, and the further you are from the town center, the better. The property is located near the train tracks, which you need to cross to reach it, and taking a walk around the area is truly one of the most beautiful experiences in Ella. To go out in the evening, you can easily get a Tuk Tuk (around 800 LKR), and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the town.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Fern Hill Cabins. Located high on the hills above Ella, the property offers breathtaking mountain views that made every morning feel like a scene from a postcard. Despite being just 10 minutes' drive from Ella town, the cabins are tucked away in a peaceful and private setting, allowing for complete relaxation while still being conveniently close to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to assist with anything I needed and full of great local recommendations. One of the highlights of my stay was the authentic Sri Lankan breakfast served each morning. Flavorful, fresh, and a real treat for anyone wanting to experience true local cuisine. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, nature, warm hospitality, and convenience, Fern Hill Cabins is the perfect choice. I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

We had a wonderful stay at Peek Blooms Ella. The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to relax. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and every part of our experience exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Peek Blooms Ella to anyone visiting Ella. Excellent family run guesthouse. The breakfasts were superb. Local fruit, juice, coffee and SrLankan speciality like coconut roti or hoppers. Hot water heated by solar energy. Great value for money.

Amazing view, great food - better than the big hotels we stayed in. Really friendly and helpful owners who helped us get back and forward to Ella. This is an absolutely amazing place and I will remember it forever. A tip the walk up is steep and dark and you can get a Tuk tuk up but if you don’t you will walk through a bit of jungle with fireflies flying around - magical.

The host was extremely kind. He was always checking how we were doing and if we were comfortable. The chalet was beautiful, cozy and very comfortable! I would greatly recommend.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel and I’m really happy with my booking. The location is perfect—very convenient and easy to reach, with everything nearby. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast; it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and had a great variety.

EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! The best place in whole Sri Lanka! The hosts are so helpful and nice! Very, very clean! The best view of the bridge! There is a path to the railway. Just 5 minutes and you are there! The breakfast was more than enough, very delicious and the fresh juice is presented like a cocktail 🍹

The owners of the property could not have been more helpful. The taxi i arranged for the airport did not show and the owners organised a taxi within 20 mins and at a cheaper rate. Will be forever grateful I arrived at the airport on time thanks to them! The room is clean and very cosy. The lighting is a nice dimmed warm light (unlike the bright white lights you usually find across Sri Lanka). Very good for nighttime as they are not too bright. Breakfast was delicious and gave me more than enough for 2 people. Just meters down a side street away from the noise but within a safe and very close walking distance. Would highly recommend and stay here again on my next visit to Ella 😊

Everything was great.food is very tasty. I think this is one of its kind type of resort. Room was clean and they also arranged a tuk tuk for us to roam around and visit different places like ravana waterfall and nine arch bridges at a very good price. There is also a restro nearby called Golden restro you can have your dinner there it was very tasty both veg and non veg.

This place is a gem. It was immaculate, the staff go above and beyond to make your stay great. Thankyou to the guy who organised the tuk tuk and made our breakfast, which we sat outside and enjoyed the early morning view.

This place was absolutely amazing. The view you wake up to was the best part of our trip to Ella. The breakfast was fantastic in every way, and the two hosts who run the place were so helpful and lovely. We can’t recommend staying here enough. It’s close to the town, and you walk along the railway tracks to get there, so even the walk itself is wonderful. GO HERE!
