For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
We have stopped at the farm stall in the past, but not stayed. It is an ideal overnight stay. Close to the road and very easy to access. We stayed in a chalet, which would be perfect for a family, with lots of space. The dinner can be delivered to your room, or eaten in the dining room, and there is a good selection of wine, beer, etc (to unwind after your drive). There is a swimming pool to cool off.
Chalets large and neat with well appointed kitchen and lounge. Ordered dinner delivered to the chalet the food was excellent. The whole property is beautiful and well looked after. No loadshedding at Transvalia!!! They have a good generator.
Great location - pool to fall into after a hot day on the road - space for kids to play - great braai area for each chalet!

How does it work?
1
It starts with a booking
It starts with a booking
The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
Followed by a trip
Followed by a trip
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
And finally, a review
And finally, a review
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.
