I had a wonderful stay in Zhangjiajie! The location was absolutely perfect, offering a clear and stunning view of Tianmen Mountain. The room itself was beautiful, well-appointed, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. The hosts were incredibly kind and generous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! The location was not only quiet and peaceful, overlooking a beautiful landscape, but also very convenient. It was just a short distance from the Tianmen Mountain cable car, making it easy to explore the area. The airport and train station were also easily accessible, which made travelling to and from the property very simple. It’s the perfect balance of tranquillity and convenience. Our hosts, David and his wife, were exceptionally kind and generous. They made us feel truly welcome from the start and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even shared their Autumn Festival celebration with us, prepared a lovely breakfast, and thoughtfully arranged a taxi for our departure. Their home was beautiful, and their warm hospitality made the entire stay incredibly pleasant, leaving us with wonderful and lasting memories.

The location, 6min drive from the West gate, which is not crowded compared to East gate ( owner will accommodate the pick up for you for free, but BE ON TIME ! which is not easy sometimes when you get lost in the Forest Park) The guesthouse is located in a village with centenarians, fields, love the authenticity The room: so cute, very high tech (heating, lighting, drying...), perfect in winter time, love the platform were you have the beds, love the lama and tent for kids. There's a big screen inside the room but we didn't use it. The laundry room can be used for free. Love the slanted ceiling, the bed linen style Love the food prepared by Grand-Pa. They served many different dishes, change the menu everyday, the vegetables are organic and come from their veg garden. Once, we had dinner outside under the tent, in the veg garden, it was lovely but freezing so after that, we had it inside. Water bottles are for free, Meals were around 88 RMB/pax Each day, Longjing, the owner, would prepare our journey in the forest park on a map. If it is not clear because there are so many things to remember and the signs inside the park do not help to know where we are, ask her again via whatsapp. Same for the buses, it's not easy to know in which direction they go. Well, generally, it takes more time than we were told, like 1 hour walk is in fact 1,5 hours or more. Be prepare to walk fast to finish the loops and be home at sunset ! For rainy days, know you can borrow umbrellas at the reception.
