Com vista do jardim, El Retoño del Negro Gozón situa-se em Nuquí e possui um restaurante, uma cozinha partilhada, bar, jardim e terraço. Utterly utterly basic. Barefoot luxury without the luxury. The wooden planks which make the walls of the huts have spaces between them for ventilation. Nothing in the room except a bed (and mosquito net), a shelf and a table. Hammocks on the verandah and the sea is right there - wonderful. You get there by small boat (with outboard motor) from Nuqui - the tourist jetty is a short walk from the airport and the people where you pay your airport tax made sure we were passed into the care of someone who saw us onto the right boat. It took 50 minutes. Wear shorts - there is no jetty and you disembark by stepping off into the water. The kitchen/dining area has a low concrete wall around it and a tin roof. The food is simple but we thought it was delicious (lots of fish - ceviche, stew and grilled). The staff are lovely - friendly and helpful, and take care to speak simple Spanish to help us understand. We enjoyed whale watching from a small boat. All very simple and undeveloped. A perfect place for blissful downtime and going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Utterly utterly wonderful!

Property is only few meters from the sea but by far the best part was the family could not do enough to make our stay fantastic. They took us on a walk when we arrived to get our bearings, took us whale watching and organised and provided transport for a visit to the jungle plus more.

The staff was excellent, the hotel is right on the beach and the restaurant ran by the family is very good and everybody is nice. The village is very nice, i would recommend visiting Termales.

El Vijo is a paradise, I would especially recommend it for groups and couples. It is about a 20 mins walk to the next (very) small village, although the walk is not always possible due to the tide. Adolpho and Deude did an amazing job. The food was delicious and Adolpho very kind and helpful. As a solo traveller I would recommend somewhere else but for couples seeking tranquility or groups of friends looking for an amazing experience I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to my next stay there.

The location of this hotel is perfect a 30 second walk to the most beautiful beach on Colombia's pacific coast. It has a pizza Resturant next door and amazing home cooked food from the hosts. Pedro & Diana are excellent hosts extremely attentive and helpful. Breakfast each morning was delicious and on time. I can't recommend this hotel enough, do not hesitate to book. I visited in the humpback migration season, it was magical and I saw so many whales, you can even spot them from the beach 30 seconds walk, in front of the hotel. Pedro helped me book all my excursions direct from the hotel, including transport, I was able to do I night jungle walk & full day whale watching tour. This location and hotel was the highlight of my trip to Colombia.
