With Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino reachable in 32 km, Hostal Sierra Minca offers accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a bar. The place is split in two locations, so there are two bars, two pools even two restaurants. we chilled one day at the first and the second at the other. At both places we were met with friendly people and super service! I recommend doing the activities they provide in the hostal and just enjoy being there!

I was worried at first that this might be the wrong choice, since it’s a bit far from the park entrance and the main hiking trail. But this place turned out to be absolutely magical. I would recommend it to anyone. While sitting outside on the little terrace, I saw so much wildlife right in front of the cabin: two types of monkeys, an agouti, parrots, a sloth, a squirrel, iguanas, tons of birds, and even a snake. The cabin itself is super comfortable. It feels cozy, and the bed is really nice. Also, it’s easy to catch a small shuttle or bus from here to both the main park entrance and the starting point of the hike to Cabo San Juan, which makes it a really convenient base. Truly an unforgettable stay in Tayrona.

Located 100 metres from Playa Los Angeles, La Casita del Bosque provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Free WiFi is provided. It is a wonderful location, better than staying by the sea. The access through steps is more than compensated by the absence of car or street noise. You are going to be in contact with nature. Breakfast is one of the best I had in Colombia and the kindness of Jose and the other people attending the property has a better value than the money you pay. I highly recommended it.

Located in Buritaca, Finca La Selvita Chocolate experience provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. A balcony with garden views is offered in all units. Finca La Selvita is a piece of heaven. It’s super isolated in the forest, yet you can still enjoy stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. The place is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The food is vegetarian but really tasty — they use plants and flowers that grow in the finca, which I loved. It’s the perfect place to rest with the sounds of the jungle and to learn about chocolate. You can experience the entire process — from cacao harvesting to making a chocolate bar.I recommend staying at least two nights to fully enjoy the forest and the atmosphere.

Providing mountain views, Wachakyta Ecolodge in Calabazo provides accommodation, a garden, a private beach area, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Free WiFi is provided. I’m writing this for the benefit of those who are thinking about booking and reading posts that seem to comment without understanding what Wachakyta is about. It scored 10 because the whole experience was brilliant. Where else in the world can you spend the night on a deserted beach, with a chef, a bar, unlimited water, coffee tea etc etc? There is also free wifi (which didn’t always work when you were away from the main area). But you have to realise you are in a beach hut. You’ll get critters, wind, the sound of the sea and everything nature has. Sure, you’ll also have a comfortable bed, good quality sheets (and a mozzie net) so it’s not without some creature comforts. The prices charged for food and drink were perfectly fine given everything (including you!!) has to be delivered by boat. And the food is cooked to order… they will come to find you about two hours before lunch or dinner and you make your selection and choose the time. The boat, by the way, is a separate business but you’ll get details on how to book and as someone who speaks only a little Spanish, the whole process was done by what’s app. They picked us up at 4.20 on the Wednesday exactly as promised. And that, my friends, is our summary. This is a get away from the world place. Enjoy nature, wildlife, the sun, the stars and escape.

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge by Mareygua is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. Everything is beautiful. The landscape and stuff members are very friendly and kind.

Boasting a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the mountain, Hierba Buena Eco Hostel is situated in El Zaino and features accommodation with free WiFi. The hostel far exceeded our expections with a wonderful greeting from our host, Carmen, who was always happy, smiling and helpful. Due to the price we paid, we expected a much cheaper feeling, but everything from the facilities to the personnel was excellent. While there's no food on the premises a small restaurant very nearby has one of the best menus of the day, we've had in Colombia! The breakfast on site was per plate instead of a buffet, which meant it was freshly made.

She really helped us with literally everything and went above and beyond. She arrange transport, boat trips for us and also recommended restaurants - both of which were AMAZING. She is really friendly and welcoming.

This is a beautiful house with outstanding Mountain Views. You can see the dedication of the owner on every detail. It has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Premium mattress and linens, hot water, tasteful decorations and lots of small details. Yuca restaurant is a few steps away and we enjoyed great breakfast and dinners. Tayrona Park is 10 minutes walking distance.
