Be in good physical shape as you'll be walking on stone paved slight uphill road for about 25 mins. You'll be crossing 4 shallow puddles. I recommend good trail shoes. Flip flops is a big no no. I highly recommend Polo's cacao tour on his property. Get set for a different experience from the rest and one that you'll remember for many years going forward.

EVERYTHING WAS NICE! The pod was super comfortable and nicely furnished. The fact that you could see sun up and/or sun down from either your: terrace, jacuzzi or bed was incredible. It is a coffee plantation, so you are surrounded by nature and coffee fields. Good place to write a book, no distractions.

This place is magic. It is completely cut off from any kind of road or path network which means that you have to get there by boat and, thus, the only people you encounter are other guests and staff. The accomodation is comfortable and has a huge bed with a moskito net. Everything was clean and worked as intended. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The place itself is spectacular with a private beach with beds and cushions to sit or lie down on, a small reef where you can snorkel, and a path into the woods where you can observe birds and, if you are lucky, monkeys. The kitchen team also knows what they are doing as all the meals we had were really good.

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge by Mareygua is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. Carolina & her staff went far beyond the call & made me feel right at home. When I arrived a day early, they found me a room in a wonderful beach cabana at the same amazing rate. The local bus, which stops directly in front of the lodge every five minutes, made getting around a breeze. I hope to return one day!

The room is your own haven with screened walls on some walls for a bug-free immersion into the forest. Very light/clean/airy! The night insects whistle at night, and you wake to the birds in the morning! The grounds are stunning and immaculate! They have lovely cats & dogs happily enjoying the property with you! Especially Mateo!:: ... They have the best customer service, handling all your needs, and they speak English and Spanish which can be a big plus for travelers! They sent their dogs with me for the back roads hike to beautiful waterfalls! The dogs led the way (pic attached!). Then when I came back, I tracked mud all over my floor. Carmen instantly arrived with a mop and cleaned my floor! Then I had a perfectly clean room again! 👍 .... I fell in love with Trompito, and the staff here mentioned a nice apartment down the road, which ended up being perfect for me, and now I will be neighbors to this lovely accommodations that offers you a unique and complete experience of a lifetime!

Premium mattress and linens, hot water, tasteful decorations and lots of small details. Yuca restaurant is a few steps away and we enjoyed great breakfast and dinners. Tayrona Park is 10 minutes walking distance.
