The wooden houses are great, huge and contain everyting you may need. Beach is close. Excellent restaurant Selvin as well. Birds and sloths around. You are in paradise and do not want to leave.

Fernando is very knowledgeable and always open to sharing information about the fauna and flora and wildlife. We loved our stay there.

We stayed in a “ Jungle Suite” which is a little away from the main building, pool and other cabins. It was beautifully designed in a superb setting surrounded by jungle. It was so peaceful. The “ lounge area” - an open sided area at the centre of the cabins next to the pool was a good place to relax in the late afternoons when drinks and snacks are available. The breakfasts were very good even though the choice was not as extensive as some places. The staff were very friendly and helpful ( especially Donovan). Bryan the manager was exceptionally helpful and informative and keeps the place ticking along beautifully. The position just over 1 km back from the beach ensures a quiet environment. Although a car makes it easier, the local taxis and Uber are very cheap and readily available.

The love, attention and effort that goes into the maintenance of this amazing place is truly incredible. Everything works perfectly, from showers to kitchen utilities and all other comforts. Marisol took great care of us and helped us to spot sloths, toucans and howler monkeys. One of our closest wildlife encounters on the trip also took place at Congo Bongo. Following Marisol’s recommendation, we had two dinners at the local restaurant Mista Cook, it was delicious. Muchas gracias, we will be back!

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. Wonderful property and owners. A garden oasis. Steps from the beach and a quiet road. 10 min walk to a number of restaurants and good grocery store. We had a cabin and it was wonderful and fully equipped. Great pool, quiet garden, lots of animals. Marise very responsive and offered helpful advice. We’re returning!

El Passion Fruit Lodge està situat a 5 km de Cahuita, a la regió de Limón. L'establiment es troba a 18 km de Puerto Viejo i a 20 km de Cocles. És un lloc molt tranquil en mig de la natura. El bungalow estava molt bé amb la cuina a la terrassa, li dona un toc espectacular. La piscina era d'aigua de pluja filtrada, perfecta per refrescar-te desprès d'un dia de platja. Té una zona amb un billar, dards, petanca, una pista de picket ball i una tarima de yoga.

Set 80 metres from Negra, Playa Grande Lodge & Tree House offers a garden, a terrace and accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. It was clean and well kept. The owners went out of their way to assure I was taken care of.
