I had a wonderful stay at El Bawaba in Luxor, and I truly can’t recommend it enough. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated with lovely artwork. Waking up each morning to the view of the Nile and the banana fields from the balcony, overlooking the peaceful garden, was an unforgettable experience. The garden itself is stunning and thoughtfully designed, with a gorgeous pool that creates such a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were absolutely amazing—kind, attentive, and always happy to help. The hotel managers were always available and went above and beyond whenever I needed assistance or help planning activities. The food deserves special mention: every meal was impeccable, high-quality, and made with the freshest local ingredients. Being able to enjoy traditional dishes like this truly enriched my experience and made exploring Luxor even more special. Location-wise, it’s perfect—quick and easy to hop on a ferry to the East Bank, simple access to West Bank sites, yet still quiet and comfortable away from the crowds. And of course, Anubis the dog deserves a shoutout—the cutest and friendliest dog on earth! I cannot wait to come back to El Bawaba. An unforgettable stay from start to finish.

It's an exceptional place where you feel welcomed and taken care of. Whatever you need, you can always turn to the owner or Mahmud who works there and they'll do their best to help (from adjusting the breakfast time, exchanging money to taking to the ferry and back). As a solo traveler I felt very comfortable there and safe. Definitely the best place to stay in the West Bank. Maybe only it'd be great to have some sign on the main street which shows the direction to the hostel :)
