It was a really special experience staying here. It is essentially a farm stay in a traditionally decorated Bedouin village. Very green and peaceful. Surrounded by nature. The pool was really cold and fed by underground well water, which was amazing after a hot day out visiting all the sites. The food was ridiculously good, with a lot of the ingredients being freshly picked from the farm around us. This was one of my favorite places we stayed during our trip in Egypt. It is extremely close to all the West Bank historical sites and also close to the hot air balloon tours, but out of the way and not in the city.

Breakfast was great, it was tailored to my dietary needs, it is in a very peaceful setting with a great view of the Nile. The staff were very helpful, it's like a home away from home.

I came here as a solo female traveler and mentioned to the owner through WhatsApp that I was tired from my other travels and didn't want to deal with anyone at the time of my arrival. He told the workers not to bother me. I felt at home and safe here. I never rested as well as I did here. I had everything I needed, and the owner was respectful and responded to my requests in WhatsApp promptly (because sending the message through Booking takes time to arrive). It was close enough to walk to the ferry in 10 minutes and take the ferry to the dock near the temples of Luxor and a short distance to the stunning temple at Karnak. Also, the owner is from here and told us about temples and tombs we did not know were here. Most people don't know about these other sites. My sister was here, and we had so much fun visiting them. I had what I needed as far as cooking, shopping for food, etc. and a wonderful, generous, free breakfast. I felt so charmed and at home here that I had to write a review, even though I don't always have time to write reviews. This is the most refreshing place in Luxor. I've tried other places in Luxor this same trip. Memoun House was always full, but they were very helpful, and I was able to reserve a place here when they had a room available. My privacy is very important to me, and I was happy to have a private bathroom and kitchen. Also, they made sure I had WiFi and the password to contact them any time if I needed anything.
