The location is off the beaten track, secluded and very private. Basic but suitable furniture proved to be well thought off and more than enough to provide comfort. It is a wonderful feeling to wake up near a rumbling stream.

It was such a beautiful yet quirky property! The room was stunning with the most gorgeous views over the cove. The bay windows were exquisite. It was truly mesmerising. The room was beautiful & fully equipped with, tea, coffee, cookies. There were lots of lovely toiletries & towels. The shower had fabulous pressure, really roomy and felt great. The bed was enormous & one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. The hosts, Christopher and his wife Jayne were the most hospitable people ever. Gave us lots of advice about walking in the area and a little bit of history also. They were lovely people, warm and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! A large big hearty English breakfast with lovely big cafetière of delicious filtered coffee. The hosts kindly left complimentary water in the hallway which was really appreciated as it was a particularly hot weekend. There was a bench just across the path from the guest house which looked onto the cove. We even had the pleasure of watching the sunset. The location is simply perfect. I would highly recommend this guest house and we will definitely stay again. Thank you so much Christopher and Jayne for making our stay so special & enjoyable & magical. Absolutely fantastic. X

The rooms are comfy, cosy. properly chintzy ;) and super clean. Breakfast was GREAT a full vegan english was no problem at all. Very friendly staff.

Great location, clean and uncluttered but decorated nicely with a homely feel. All the appliances worked well and the kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with full sized bath and the showers were very good. We enjoyed the hot tub and the garden especially the bbq, fire pit and garden games.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the Blackdowns. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with a couple of goats, pigs and sheep adding to the charm. The log burner inside and the outdoor fireplace were the perfect touches for a cosy overnight stay. We also walked up to Culmstock Beacon which was absolutely stunning and well worth it. The whole experience felt relaxing and special.
