With Ribera Rio Dulce Beach reachable in a few steps, Casa Maya provides accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a private beach area and a bar. Free WiFi is provided. The family that runs the hotel is absolutely exceptional. Extremely kind and they treat you like you’re a part of the family. I was really lucky to not have many other people during my stay. The tables in the rooms is a winner for me, not many places have that and I really needed it. The WiFi is really good and I could work with no issues. You’ll need to lay everywhere with cash. The shower in the dorms is interesting, let’s say you’ll have a view right at the nature :) the water in the shower is really refreshing which is actually really good excuse it’s really hot there during the day. the forest area could use some cleaning or more organized wilderness but still awesome place. I was really surprised that there were almost no mosquitos. When you’re there definitely tent the kayak! And omg Marta’s food is freaking amazing!!! Definitely order topas (pricey but delicious!!!)

With river views, Happy Iguana Marina and Cabins is located in Fronteras and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and barbecue. We enjoyed the pool and staff (Monica and Angel) were really friendly. It nice mangrove environment which makes it beautiful which is why mosquitoes and the occasional cockroach is not because of lacking cleaning. They are just part of the environment.
