Great staff and awesome vibe, gardens are beautiful and the rooms/bungalows are simple but very well decorated and they have everything to have a comfortable stay. They look exactly like the pictures. Very well located to start the hike to see the orangutans. Restaurant was very good, and it was nice to have dinner and join the staff who was playing guitar and singing. Breakfast was awesome, I loved the porridge (baked, steel cut) with local fruits. You really get a lot for what you pay. I hope to go back!

Absolutely loved my stay here, I highly recommend it! The room was cozy, spacious, and had a great view over the river. I even saw an orangutan and a few monkeys from my room. The staff was incredibly friendly. The atmosphere was really chill, with some staff members even playing guitar during the day. The food was tasty and reasonnably priced. Excellent customer services!

I loved the stay in a hut so close to the nature, surrounded by quiet forest, stunning view and sound of river. Huts are simple, no electricity, which I liked. Owner took care of meals which were amazing. Also the trip to the jungle was very well organized with fruit snack and lunch. Huts are located on a hill to which lead a steep path but it is only 5 minutes hike. Alltogether maybe 30 minutes of walk from the village. You can leave your heavy stuff with owner and take only necessary things with you. During breakfast time expect visit of monkeys.

Amazing location with a fantastic view over the mountains and the jungle. You get extremely close to nature in a peaceful and tranquil environment. We enjoyed the terraces and facilities. We saw many monkeys and even saw one orangutan from the terrace. It was perfect for our family of 6 and we felt extremely welcome and well taken care of by the friendly and helpful owner and staff. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and have a wonderful time. They even played badminton with our son. The trips arranged were fantastic with great professional guides who with respect for nature showed us the wonders of the jungle. We saw 6 six different types of monkeys, monitor lizards, various gekkos, various snakes, squirrels, frogs, ants, caterpillars. We also got to see orangutans up close on multiple occasions on each trek - from babies and mothers to a big male. We would also recommend tubing on the river. We feel grateful to have such wonderful experience ❤️

Brown Bamboo Guest house & jungle trekking orang-utan has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Bukit Lawang. Some units have a terrace and/or a balcony with garden views. We loved our stay here! The bed was super comfortable, everything was nice and clean, there’s good wifi, the food at the restaurant was very good…. we had all we asked for. But what we liked most was the attention of the family. They all helped us in all we needed and made it very easy. It is a small guest house with a few rooms only, which makes it very calm, but anyways they were able to exceed all our expectations. From arranging the orangutan tour, all transportations, hive us food when needed, do laundry, paying with credit card and even give us a scooter. Thank you for your kindness!
