Staff were super friendly- we got in late at 930pm and they opened the kitchen for us to make us dinner! Beautiful views- highly recommend

Amazing place, the location is superb in the centre of the picturesque village Bukit Lawang and next to the river! The staff is absolutely amazing, and the food wow.. Furthermore we did the 3 days/2night jungle trek with Andy and Jerry, which was absolutely incredible. The tour was full of insights on the local flora and fauna, accompanied by well organised base camps and great food. We can do nothing but recommend this place! Looking forward to being back, Lara and Stijn!

They arrange everything so well and take such good care of you, from the airport to your stay at the Garden Inn and especially during the jungle trekking. We did the two days one night trekking with Jerry, Rudy & Abdi. The guides are very funny, knowledgeable about everything and Abdi’s food was amazing! The trekking was tough but we had so much fun and saw many orangutans and other animals. Unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia! After the trekking we spent another night at the Garden Inn and did the village tour with Pindu, perfect way to learn more about the local community! He also let us make our own tempeh and gado gado, which was a lot of fun. If you are planning to visit Bukit Lawang, we would recommend to book everything with the Garden Inn team. Had an amazing time at lovely jungle lodge, Balu and his son Rifan will really look after you. The location of the lodge was great, away from the busy village and surrounded by the peaceful jungle. The best is falling asleep to the jungle sounds and being able to watch wild monkeys from the wooden huts. There's no electricity so make sure to charge all your devices beforehand. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay, Service and food was amazing. You only need to quit air conditioning as there are only fans in the beautiful Bungalows. Hotel als offer trekking tours and transfer- very good!

I stayed in a recently renovated room with beautiful views of the river! The restaurant attached has such a cool ambiance - a great place to read or study. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Rooms were very clean and neat and an easy walk towards the forest or shops nearby!

We loved our stay here! The bed was super comfortable, everything was nice and clean, there’s good wifi, the food at the restaurant was very good…. we had all we asked for. But what we liked most was the attention of the family. They all helped us in all we needed and made it very easy. It is a small guest house with a few rooms only, which makes it very calm, but anyways they were able to exceed all our expectations. From arranging the orangutan tour, all transportations, hive us food when needed, do laundry, paying with credit card and even give us a scooter. Thank you for your kindness!
