Location is peaceful and unique. The cabin is lovely and makes for a good relaxing break. There is no Internet or signal for phone coverage, Not a bad thing. Just need to be prepared. Beds comfortable and place nice and warm, even though it was freezing outside. The host is friendly and communates well ahead of visit.

Sabina and David were so lovely and could not do enough for us to make our stay fantastic. I happened to tell Sabina it was our anniversary and when we arrived at our accommodation, Sabina had a bottle of bubbly on ice to celebrate. We also had our dog Bear with us and she was allowed to go everywhere. Not something you will find in a 'dog friendly' hotel. Such a cosy space and a great location to unwind and enjoy quality time with the family. Weather was cold but the fire had the place very snug over our stay. Surrounding location is perfect too. Nadia was fantastic and a super engaged host. She even had the place warmed up with the fire on before we even got there.

Location is a few miles out of Ballyconnell so definitely need a car to get around, however taxis were very easy to get so no issue with location. The cabin is beautiful, so cosy & homely with plenty of space. Beds were comfortable, cabin was warm and clean and the host was so friendly and helpful. The scenery around is beautiful too, overlooking the water and so peaceful.

Nellies Log Cabin is set in Cavan, 24 km from Loughcrew Estate and Gardens, 28 km from Ballyhaise College, and 35 km from Drumlane Abbey. Please is fantastic very good if you have dogs nice peaceful location & staff will do every thing thay can to help Angela & Eugene very friendly people..and made sure our stay was 10/10.. Will be booking back up for October
