The place is huge and absolutely perfect for a family vacation or a group of friends. The host has paid great attention to detail and provided many entertainment and game options, making our stay both fun and relaxing. The host was extremely kind and helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed. The swings and hammock added lovely, laid-back staycation vibes. We also really appreciated the property’s sustainable approach, with no plastic use, while still offering an authentic traditional Kerala experience. The breakfast was authentic Kerala-style and absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a memorable stay and highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, culture, and relaxation.

Wild root stay- Aster Chalet, a property with a garden, is set in Wayanad, 13 km from Karlad Lake, 17 km from Lakkidi Viewpoint, as well as 20 km from Banasura Sagar Dam. The staff is phenomenal. They are very welcoming and extremely cooperative.

Beautiful heritage family home set around a courtyard. There is a river meandering in the back and paddy around it. The gardens are very nicely maintained with a tree house, large dining area and some unique fruit trees. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed for 4 nights and would have stayed longer. The hosts are lovely and friendly. Sheba made delicious chai every morning. The accommodation is in a great location near the south end of Varkala beach, an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shops, while being in a relaxing and quiet location. Tommy the dog is also a highlight.
