The host Matteo is very kind, he came to the place even if we arrived around midnight. He quickly replies to any of our questions using Whatsapp. He gave us a lot of valuable information (restaurants, transport options, places to see and where to go for shopping, etc.) The apartment is really huge and comfortable with two bathrooms (extra points here!). It has also a nice garden (we used it for the breakfast time). The special option is to go the LaFarina restaurant which is located just a few steps next to the apartment (recommended Fiorentina steak was excellent).

Situated in Livorno, 1.4 km from Livorno Port and 27 km from Piazza dei Miracoli, "DueEmme Lodge", a pochi passi dal porto offers air conditioning. I am a fussy person, a little OCD, an artist, a home decorator, and a former home stager. From the moment I stepped into Marco's apartment, I knew it would be good. However, I was not expecting it to be so spectacular. The kitchen had every possible thing a person would ask for from cutlery, cooking utensils, small appliances, cookware, refrigerator, cooktop, and high-tech microwave. It even had an emersion blender and milk heater and frother. The pantry: filled with seasonings, teas, coffees, dry goods, cereals, croissants, sweet buns of various types, tarts, and more. The refrigerator: yogurt, lactose free too, milks of all types, cheese, sluced ham, turkey and prosciutto, fruit, proseco and beer. At this point of the apartment tour, I was almost on overload. The bathroom had natural soaps, soft towels, cushioned bath mats, the usual blow dryer, but a curling iron, too. Not that I needed that. The drawer above featured, Qtips, cotton pads, and various other facial necessities, which included dark coloured faceclothes for washing faces with makeup. The bedroom was a very good size, featured a very comfy mattress, and had excellent pillows and sheets. The windows were sparkling clean, as were the shutters. They kept the noise out perfectly. There was a/c, but it wasn't needed that night. The armoire featured extra blankets, pillows, and hangers. The television was strategically placed on the wall with a swivel bracket so it could be viewed from either the comfy lounge chair or the bed. Netflix was active, so there was no need to open my account. The apartment was so wonderful. I video called my hubby and walked him through everything. He was impressed and couldn't get over the shinny floors. I highly recommend a visit to Marco's apartment or use it as a home base while traveling in the area. Mille grazie Marco!

It is your own little home away from home. Well equipped little kitchen. Heaters in when we arrived you do need a car to get to property and get around.

The tent is cosy, well-equipped, and pleasantly shaded between the trees. There’s air conditioning and heating available if needed. Bernardo and his wife are truly lovely hosts, offering plenty of tips on places to visit and local food to try. The location is perfect — close to many beautiful beaches, from soft sandy ones like the Miracle Beach to rocky coves with breathtaking views such as Bagno delle Donne. There are also charming villages to explore and historical gems like Pitigliano nearby. For shopping, Grosseto is within easy reach. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return!

Offering a garden and garden view, Lodge Pizzo Alpestre is set in Abetone, 7.8 km from Abetone/Val di Luce and 49 km from Montecatini Train Station. Exceptional value for money. This apartment is relatively basic but it very clean and has everything you need. We only stayed a couple of days to make some hiking, and we didn't use the kitchen very much - but it's quite good enough for a self catering holiday. The Albergo practically next door has good food and wine and also the pizzeria 300m up the road was excellent (pana cottta chocolata is to die for!) Peaceful & quiet village about 10 minutes drive to Abetone. We found everyone very friendly and kind.
