Ubytovanie 高野山 こころの寺子屋リトリートハウス -Koyasan Retreat House IKKOSHO sa nachádza v destinácii Kójasan 37 km od miesta Kishi Station a 44 km od miesta Matsushita Park. The hosts are the warmest people around. They made sure I was comfortable and the meditations in the morning are quite amazing too. Highly recommend this stay and I definitely plan to come back! Thank you so much for opening up your home to me, this made my Koyasan visit so memorable.

Waking up in Deer Park was really special, especially considering that before 9am and after 4pm you pretty much had the park to yourself.

Extensive delicious homemade dinner and breakfast (the host actually cooked for everyone staying at the hostel). Clothes washer and drier included in the stay. I was alone at the bunk beds room (4 beds) so, in essence, I had a private room for a reasonable price.

Clean and even a washing machine. 5 minute walk from Tengachaya station ( train & subway ) Direct train connection to Kansai airport. Grocery store and restaurants within 3 minute walk

Ubytovanie kakayama hutte sa nachádza v destinácii Muraoka 27 km od miesta Toyooka City History Museum a 34 km od miesta Daijoji Temple. Amazing stay! We had the whole place to ourselves, and the village is incredibly peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The common areas are great and easy to use, adding to the comfort. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended!

Ubytovanie 至の宿-京都南 Traditional Machiya Guesthouse sa nachádza v centre mesta Kjóto iba 13 min. chôdze od miesta TKP Garden City Kyoto a 1,5 km od miesta Chrám Sanjusangen-do. Close to the Kyoto station. Quiet neighbourhood. Lovely stand alone house with little garden and hot bath.

The house is very clean and spacious.the view is amazing.the staff is so very helpful and even provide laundry service.my family had an episode of getting drenched from head to toe from getting caught in heavy rain but they helped us do the laundry and we used the furnace to dry our drenched shoes and coats.the skylight is also a highlight as we slept under the moonlight.highly recommended.there's not enough stars to give for their exceptional hospitality.the facilities are complete with all kitchen equipments,towels, cleaning products,they will also provide food if you need.

It is an old style house, so as long as you aren't expecting Western/modern comforts, it's fantastic! My daughter called it the Totoro house. You will sleep on Japanese futons that you lay out on the tatami mats - if you've never slept on a futon it might feel uncomfortable/hard compared to Western beds. You will eat sitting on the tatami mats, but there are a couple of small Western chairs if sitting on the floor is difficut. The bathroom is Japanese style with the toilet in one section, the sink/vanity in a second section and the shower with separate furo (deep bathtub for soaking after washing in the shower) in the third section. It was not the most modern but all clean and more spacious than the Western hotel bathrooms we had other parts of Japan! There is a TV, wifi worked great and a bluetooth speaker to play music. There aren't a lot of "tourist" attractions nearby but it you want serenity this hits the spot - a few steps away has you walking among farming fields and the house is also close to the forest with a little stream running along side the road making for a peaceful but easy walk up the mountain. The gohan (rice) cooked in the old style stove was the best we ate our entire trip! Wish we had bought some of the local rice. It can get a little smoky when dinner is being cooked but my mild asthma was fine. The host, Hiro, is amazing, super accomodating and friendly, he introduced us to his shiba inu (dog) and his duck, and even though we didn't ask ahead, he prepped for us to make tofu - this experience was an extra fee but totally worth it! During the winter you can also request mochitsuki (pounding rice into mochi) and summer/fall you can make noodles (can't remember if he said soba, ramen or udon). Hiro's English is limited, but he's so engaging, we asked him to eat dinner with us and my daughter loved that...he has such good energy!
