Very beautiful old style Japanese local house but mixed with modern style. An entire house is fabulous with the view and place. Nice free space for living room and table tennis. The relaxing space next to the sea is very good vibe. The staff is very helpful to explain everything in the house, provide the house tour and help to manage dinner and breakfast.

Okazaki-san is a fantastic and hilarious host. The accommodation is roomy and exceptionally comfortable. The area around Ine-Ohara is one of the most beautiful parts of Japan! Highly recommended.

Ideally situated in the centre of Kyoto, 秋桜館Cosmos offers a terrace, air conditioning, free WiFi and flat-screen TV. With garden views, this accommodation features a balcony. The two stories allowed us to spread out a bit. The rooms were comfortable and had good AC, important for a very hot July. Nice bathroom and laundry. Very responsive host.

In the Minami Ward district of Kyoto, close to Sanjusangen-do Temple, 至の宿-京都南 Traditional Machiya Guesthouse features free WiFi and a washing machine. Close to the Kyoto station. Quiet neighbourhood. Lovely stand alone house with little garden and hot bath.

In the centre of Kyoto, located within a short distance of Nijo Castle and Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall, 京町 朱雀 offers free WiFi, air conditioning and household amenities such as a stovetop and... I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse! The surrounding scenery is absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful. It was also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, which made exploring Kyoto a breeze. Highly recommended for a great experience in Kyoto!

Situated in Kyoto, 2.4 km from TKP Garden City Kyoto and 3.4 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple, Minami Toji---JP Style Guesthouse in Kyoto offers a garden and air conditioning. I loved how everything was super clean and the house was super cozy. There were heat pumps in both bedrooms so it was very comfortable at night. Also, the proximity to Toji Temple as a nice surprise.

Located in Kyotango, 600 metres from Kotohikihama Beach and 5 km from Amino Shrine, Asobi Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with a terrace. Lovely place to stay in a quiet spot. Beautiful beach just a short walk away and really enjoyed basing here to explore the Tango Peninsula. Kitchen/lounge was well equipped to self cater. Would stay again in the area!

Boasting mountain views, The Lodge MIWA features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 20 km from Kinkaku-ji Temple. Incredible location and the serenity is real. A true Japanese experience, with a lovely village setting. Absolutely loved it. The smell of the amazing wood in the bath room was a highlight. All the things you need to cook and live for the few days you are there. Highly recommend. Worth the drive out of Kyoto to experience the city but stay away from the hustle and bustle.
