Incredible accommodation in Nozawa onsen, beautifully sunny and spacious, with a two minute walk to the gondala. Self contained with everything we needed, including fresh coffee and breakfast! This place made our stay and we would highly recommend. The staff were wonderful - friendly, relaxed, and helpful.

Located in Hakuba, 12 km from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area, Hakuba Amber Resort by Jade Group offers accommodation with a hot tub. Enjoyed the house for summer for a big group and had a wonderful time! Staff was always quick/available to answer your questions or come by should you needed something. Sauna/onsen was definitely a highlight, along with the ready-to-go BBQ set (extra cost). Would love to come again!

The dinner was amazing. I was definitely worth coming here for the food. It was raining when we arrived but the next day it was beautiful. The pension was located in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

Set 22 km from Ryuoo Ski Park in Nozawa Onsen, Marushige offers accommodation with air conditioning and free WiFi. The lodge offers an American or Asian breakfast. I loved everything here. Usually lodge has only Japanese futon in tatami room but we slept comfortably in bed. Breakfast was tasty and hospitality was incredible. They also have sauna 😍

Set in Chino, ノマの森 Nomanomori B&B offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a bar. The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Shiga Kogen Lodge features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Yamanouchi, 20 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. There is a seating and a dining area in all units. The owner and the staff were very attentive and always went out of their way to help us throughout our stay. The room that we booked was spacious for 4 people. We enjoyed the public bath experience and onsen. The meals were lovely, especially dinner was generous and delicious which amazingly was another thing we actually looked forward to apart from the hotbath after a long day out skiing. We would definitely book here again!
