Everything was impeccable and the spaces are all very cozy. The private bath was a such a treat. We loved the views from the room and shared spaces as the house is next to the forest. Akira is an awesome host. Even though we stayed here during green (and rainy) season, he gave us lots of recommendations of things to do around the area. He speaks English fluently so communication was very easy. Can’t recommend enough!

Enjoyed the house for summer for a big group and had a wonderful time! Staff was always quick/available to answer your questions or come by should you needed something. Sauna/onsen was definitely a highlight, along with the ready-to-go BBQ set (extra cost). Would love to come again!

The dinner was amazing. I was definitely worth coming here for the food. It was raining when we arrived but the next day it was beautiful. The pension was located in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

I had a very pleasant stay at Sakka Sanso. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Both meals were excellent—the breakfast was healthy and filling, while the dinner was delicious and satisfying. The bathroom features an onsen, providing a relaxing soak after a refreshing shower. They also provided convenient transportation to and from the station, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience, and I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hakuba.

Le Bocage – Hakuba Echoland Chalets are situated in Echoland, a popular nightlife site where more than 30 bars and restaurants can be found. The property offers free in-room WiFi and on-site parking. An excellent cottage with top-class facilities. So comfortable and cozy

Just a 2 minute walk from Happo-One's Kokusai Slope ski lift and a 5-minute walk from Happo-One Ski Resort (Gondola) and Happo Village, Hakuba Landmark Happo Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi.... If I could give more stars I would. From our first email exchange to driving us to the bus station when we left, Paul and Tracy were incredibly helpful at every step. From helping us book a private onsen to cheering us on before skiing and sharing insider tips on the best mountain routes, he went above and beyond. Paul truly embodies hospitality. He is genuinely happy to be there and makes you feel equally happy to be his guest. The amenities were just as impressive: rotating hot breakfasts each morning, comfortable beds, hot showers, and a cozy common area. Everything was in excellent condition. And the location couldn’t be better, practically ski-in, ski-out. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate!

Usually lodge has only Japanese futon in tatami room but we slept comfortably in bed. Breakfast was tasty and hospitality was incredible. They also have sauna 😍

Taka is an amazing host, he is very friendly and helpful - his wife cooks really good breakfast (vegetarian friendly). The Pension is closed to the free shuttle bus to go to the ski resort and there is a lot of restaurant/cafe around. The private Onsen is also a really good + ! I wish I could stay longer and will definitely come back

The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.
