Kele Yala is a boutique hotel situated in the dry zone in Kataragama. Everything. The food, the staff, the room! Everything was lovely and we would definitely go back.

My rooms that had over 15 foot ceilings, everything made of stone, fans and air conditioning, the nature surrounding us, the Pool and the hotel grounds, the warm and amazing staff! My stay was short and I regret not staying longer. Just AMAZING and also the owner was there to answer all my questions and last minute demands. Don’t forget to tip the staff because they go over and beyond for you.

Great food prepared with passion by hosts. Just behind a beach where you feel amazed by calm, happiness and no people around. There is a small turtle project close to the apartment where you can contemplate baby born turtles hatching out. Fully recommend this place.

Rooms ware clean and comfortable. You can feel totally private here. The beach is just a few steps from the house, and most of the there is no one there. But you have to keep in mind that waves are so high there that it is very difficult to swim. Still - views are incredible. Our host Gayan was very helpful and I could count on him during entire stay.

The villa was super clean, well-maintained, and felt fresh from the moment we arrived. The surroundings were peaceful and full of greenery, perfect for unwinding and relaxing. The host was kind, responsive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the comfortable setup, and the overall hospitality. Highly recommend staying here for a calm and refreshing experience.

The host was so kind and thoughtful and an absolutely excellent safari guide .. we saw so many animals, leopards, bear, elephants and much more. He was so knowledgeable and so good at spotting / waiting for animals. Couldn’t have had a better safari experience. Dinner in the jungle under the stars was super, amazing huge home cooked feast. Authentic staying in the jungle hut experience, very clean accommodation, very close to park entrance. Totally recommend.
