The terrace is also beautiful and perfect for relaxing while enjoying the scenery. Inthizar is an extraordinary host. He cooks everything on site, from breakfast to dinner, preparing delicious local food with great passion. He even surprised us with a romantic dinner on the terrace, which was an unforgettable experience. We spent two lovely evenings chatting with him and two other travelers, as the atmosphere was so warm and the company so pleasant. This place is by far the best accommodation of our entire trip, both for its beauty and for the exceptional hospitality. For us it was an amazing week that we did not expect the peace of the place, and the ease of getting around. Asela drove us to Kandy any time, we didn't know is was so close, and the drive so easy. It was actually nicer for us to be out of the city and Ascela took us around at a very low cost, we used messaging and always on time to meet us. Restaurants are interesting in town but we enjoyed eating at the home-stay because the food was very very good & healthy, such a beautiful place to look over the valley & their own vegetable & herb garden! We liked going on walks, magnificent views, and Asela actually gave us a little hiking tour! In Kandy, there are tourists like us- at Tedro we had privacy, but also felt part of the community when we took walks. There is a TV but we never used it. We will be back, some day, and we do recommend this precious experience to anyone that wants good food, good sleep (the bed is great, view is really nice) access to town& the sights. In fact, we ended up going on a longer excursion to Siguria with Asela as our driver! He kindly got us there and back safeley, and gave us a lot of space for personal privacy as we did our own exploring. He is a very good guide and his family - downstairs from the room & porches - is respectful.

The host and chef were so welcoming and thoughtful, the cabana is unique and beautifully made and it is surrounded by trees and plants. We also planted a tree in the garden with the host which was super special.
