One of my top 3 stays in Sri Lanka, and overall, one of the best stays of all my travels! I stayed there in mid November '25. Absolutely beautiful place, in a rather quiet area in Kandy, such a serene environment and energy, a very lovely garden giving vibes of a small Italian village. The house is so uniquely and beautifully furnished and decorated, stunning views with big windows and doors open so the tropical breeze gently flows through. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Very generous and tasty breakfast, coffee/tea available throughout the day. The owner is not present at all times, but I could still meet her and she was very lovely. Ravi, the guy who takes care of the place and the guests, handles everything on spot and does it with such a kind heart, he enjoys if the guests take time to have a chat with him or play some games. They have a couple of rooms upstairs and only one downstairs. When booked, I was under the impression (by the pictures) the room would be upstairs, but was given the one downstairs, with much less light and modest views. Ravi could not address the issue at first so quickly, and as I understood, the other rooms were taken or just being cleaned after a checkout. Though I did not request to change the room, Ravi could obviously sense my disappointment, as I actually did book the place for the views of the room to enjoy for two nights. So after a bit of time, Ravi came to me suggesting he would clean a room upstairs that was just checked out, as fast as possible, so I could have a room I actually desired and booked. Though I kindly said he did not have to go through the trouble, he insisted. As I understood, it was also the owner's order. So, it was one of the most humble encounters and services of a kind, for them to really care for my wellbeing, and I so highly appreciate it. Thank you Ravi and the Owners (sorry I've lost the name) for your kind service and providing such a special place for guests to stay ♡

The spacious room and common areas are very clean. The balcony offers a breathtaking view. There’s a small kitchenette where you can boil water, use the dishes, and store food in the fridge. Within walking distance, you’ll find a vegetable shop and stores with all the essentials. Simple yet delicious Sri Lankan food is available nearby. The room doesn’t feel hot, so there’s no need for air conditioning. I didn’t even use the fan. It’s a perfect place to relax and recharge after exploring the mountains and local sights. Getting to the center of Kandy is easy: take a tuk-tuk or hop on a local bus, which runs frequently. The host is an incredibly kind, hospitable, and responsive person, always ready to assist with anything you need. You can tell he truly loves what he does. He also has a wonderful dog, which makes the place feel even more welcoming. A pleasant surprise for me was that they sort waste here, which is rare to see. For just $13 a night, you won’t find a better place to stay in Kandy!

I had a perfect stay at The Clouds Resort Kadugannawa. The location offers a stunning view—absolutely breathtaking and peaceful. Every detail of the resort was just right, making it a truly relaxing experience. A special mention to Amjaad for his excellent service—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The owner was also very involved and genuinely cared about guest comfort, which made us feel well looked after. Great service, beautiful surroundings, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, Sanatha Suwaya is set in Kandy in the Kandy District Region, 1.6 km from Kandy Royal Botanical Gardens. Ceylon Tea Museum is 2.9 km away. From start to finish we felt so looked after. Our train was delayed but the communication with Michael really put us at ease. He went above and beyond to make sure we had some great food, and even gave us some great tips for the rest of our stay. The place is breath taking and the yoga and meditation rooms are incredibly special. An amazing place to stay to feel connected with nature.

Apresentando vista da montanha, Tedro home stay fornece acomodações com um jardim, um salão partilhado e um terraço, a cerca de 3,9 km de Museu Kandy. For us it was an amazing week that we did not expect the peace of the place, and the ease of getting around. Asela drove us to Kandy any time, we didn't know is was so close, and the drive so easy. It was actually nicer for us to be out of the city and Ascela took us around at a very low cost, we used messaging and always on time to meet us. Restaurants are interesting in town but we enjoyed eating at the home-stay because the food was very very good & healthy, such a beautiful place to look over the valley & their own vegetable & herb garden! We liked going on walks, magnificent views, and Asela actually gave us a little hiking tour! In Kandy, there are tourists like us- at Tedro we had privacy, but also felt part of the community when we took walks. There is a TV but we never used it. We will be back, some day, and we do recommend this precious experience to anyone that wants good food, good sleep (the bed is great, view is really nice) access to town& the sights. In fact, we ended up going on a longer excursion to Siguria with Asela as our driver! He kindly got us there and back safeley, and gave us a lot of space for personal privacy as we did our own exploring. He is a very good guide and his family - downstairs from the room & porches - is respectful.

Nice place with comfortable beds. it's a newly build hotel. Host gave us a free drop service to the railway station. calm and quite atmosphere. They have rooms with river view balconies.

I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, unforgettable experience.
