The apartment was large and spacious and well equipped. The shower and bathroom were particularly good. WiFi was good. Staff were great and the apartment is very close to the lake and many restaurants. I would definitely sty at this hotel/apartment again.

Kalpa, who manages the accommodation, is very friendly, respectful, and helpful. He went out of his way to make my stay a great one. The location is a bit away from the centre of town but it's close to the lake and easy to get to town by TukTuk. 100% recommend staying here.

I spent over a week at The Traveller Kandy to work on a book manuscript, and it was the perfect quiet retreat for that. Amazing views of the Mahaweli River and the Knuckles Mountains from the room and the terrace, warm hospitality by host Harshana and a fantastic breakfast cooked by a neighbour. Despite the feeling of seclusion supermarkets, cafes and restaurants are just a 10-15 minute walk away.

For us it was an amazing week that we did not expect the peace of the place, and the ease of getting around. Asela drove us to Kandy any time, we didn't know is was so close, and the drive so easy. It was actually nicer for us to be out of the city and Ascela took us around at a very low cost, we used messaging and always on time to meet us. Restaurants are interesting in town but we enjoyed eating at the home-stay because the food was very very good & healthy, such a beautiful place to look over the valley & their own vegetable & herb garden! We liked going on walks, magnificent views, and Asela actually gave us a little hiking tour! In Kandy, there are tourists like us- at Tedro we had privacy, but also felt part of the community when we took walks. There is a TV but we never used it. We will be back, some day, and we do recommend this precious experience to anyone that wants good food, good sleep (the bed is great, view is really nice) access to town& the sights. In fact, we ended up going on a longer excursion to Siguria with Asela as our driver! He kindly got us there and back safeley, and gave us a lot of space for personal privacy as we did our own exploring. He is a very good guide and his family - downstairs from the room & porches - is respectful.

This place is absolutely stunning. With comfortable furniture en incredible views all around the building. The owners and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They did everything they could for us, from washing our clothes when we came back from trekking to making one of our favorite breakfast: milk rice. You get a big and luxurious room. Although the place is up in the hills, it's just a quick 10 minute tuktuk drive or a nice 25 minute walk down to town. We totally loved it here!

The location is simply breathtaking, quiet and nature-filled, yet perfectly placed for exploring. This stay felt like a retreat for the soul. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, unforgettable experience.
