Our stay at Rock Shade Chalet was a truly amazing one. The ambience was super special. The facilities are of high standards. The environment was very calm. A lot of birds, including peacocks, were in the garden. Lasantha is a very nice person. He was always attentive to our requirements. They made special meals at our request.

The room is spacious and in its own building with a generous covered verandah amongst trees. Rice paddies adjoin with beautiful views out to sigiriya rock. It's a short walk into the main shops and to 'off the beaten track' lakes and temples. The breakfast is exceptional. The dinner as much so. The whole family gets involved in making your experience so authentic and enjoyable. This really is an incredible place and we would not hesitate to stay here again. You will not regret booking to stay here.

A perfect place for us…small local homestay near rice paddies and view of Lion's Rock. The owner is so positive and cheerful. He helped us learn about wildlife in his garden, recommended local restaurants and organized most of our tours. The breakfast was so wonderful - we stayed 4 nights and every morning we had different Sri Lankan choices. There were sunny-side-up eggs every morning. A thermos full of hot water to make your own coffee or tea plus a lovely local juice. You can easily walk to see local rice fields and a view of the Lion's Rock. There are many restaurant options on the local road leading to the homestay. There are hammocks to relax in while you enjoy the beautiful garden with local wildlife. A quiet and peaceful retreat! 4 rooms available…snatch yours up! We were kindly welcomed with King coconut drink; owner is so positive and so helpful - every tour that he helped us book was well organized and we learned so much; beautiful garden area with hammocks, parakeets, turtle, chipmunks, toucan…; outside sitting area outside of room; breakfast area outside as well - delicious breakfast with eggs, roti with onion, Dahl crispy cakes, honey hopper, delicious passionfruit juice and coffee…yum!; breakfast varied each day with wonderful local food; easy to walk to a variety of dinner restaurants; easy to book safaris, day trip to Ancient City Of Polonnaruwa and night visit to jungle to see Loris and other wildlife through homestay; bed was comfortable - beautiful wooden canopy beds with lovely mosquito nets; very clean room; spacious room and bathroom; furnished simply with planning; has 2 shelves and a rack with hooks for hanging items; electrical outlets near bed; near local rice fields; beautiful view of Lion's Rock from outside of homestay; supporting a local family

I stayed at this lovely guest house for three nights, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed with a bottle of water and a refreshing drink, a thoughtful touch that I really appreciated. The guest house is family-run, and you can feel the warmth and care they put into making guests feel at home. All the family was very kind, polite, and incredibly helpful. They organized a tour for me to Pollonnaruwa at a very reasonable price, much more affordable than other options I found around. Breakfast was another highlight: plentiful, homemade, and prepared with fresh ingredients, I really enjoyed it! The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and if you need a tuk-tuk or any other assistance, they are always ready to help with a smile. Overall, it’s a charming and welcoming place with excellent service. Highly recommended!

Ubytovanie Sigiri Jungle Villa sa nachádza v destinácii Sígirija 2,2 km od miesta Skala Sígirija a 5,4 km od miesta Hora Pidurangala. We really loved our stay here! The host family is really friendly and hospitable. We asked them if they could provide us with dinner and breakfast and it exceeded our expectations. They provided us with a delicious home cooked meal and fresh fruits straight from their own garden. Also the rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had an amazing time and i can only recommend staying here.

Ubytovanie Isanka Lion Lodge sa nachádza 3,5 km od miesta Skala Sígirija. Hostia tu majú k dispozícii reštauráciu, vonkajší bazén, záhradu a spoločenskú miestnosť. The owner was incredibly helpful and advised us well on how make the most of our time in beautiful Sigiriya. He happily drove us wherever we needed to go in his tuk tuk which is a real advantage. While there are some parts of the hotel still being built, the rooms are very clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The location is within 200 meters walking distance to several restaurants, etc. and the Lion Rock park is only ~5 minutes away

We had the best time ever and felt truly like at home! Definitely a must if in Sigiriya
