Exceptional stay in the rainforest – highly recommended! The hosts Janith and Monisha were incredibly kind and friendly, and it was a real pleasure to communicate with them. The breakfast and the dinners we ordered were excellent and very generous — we strongly recommend trying the local traditional dishes and even planning all meals at the accommodation. Staying in a glass-walled house in the middle of the rainforest is a truly unique experience. There were four of us, and we could observe the local wildlife and plant life around the clock. At night we even watched distant thunderstorms. Different groups of monkeys came by and we observed each other from close range, and there were also many bird species and lizards in the trees. A true paradise for nature lovers. The nearby waterfall seemed quite loud at first, but we got used to it quickly. The building itself is very well maintained, including the living space, toilet, and washing facilities. We also used the bathtub, which was a great bonus. One of the beds was a little squeaky, but it didn’t affect the overall experience. Getting there independently is somewhat difficult, so we used the minibus service arranged by them. We recommend relying on the transportation and logistics services provided by the hosts — the cars were in good condition, and all drivers had a calm and safe driving style. The location is perfect for exploring the rainforest. Janith is also an excellent guide who can show you the best of the surrounding nature. We also visited a tea plantation and tea factory with him, which was a very enjoyable experience. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

The Whitegates Lodge ligt in Weligama in de regio Matara District, dicht bij Midigama Beach. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en toegang tot een hot tub. Friendly and helpful host. Great location with access to the beach just in a short walk. Breakfast was very nice.

Natural Mystic Sanctuary in Deniyaya biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de bergen, een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, een tuin, een terras en een restaurant. Er is gratis WiFi. Gran-di-oos uitzicht. Accommodatie ligt stukje tegen de berg op. Heerlijk bed, douche met warm water. Restaurant met (optioneel) drie fantastische vegetarische maaltijden per dag, zodat je er niet uit hoéft. Het water kan uit de tap gedronken worden. Groot terrein om over te lopen. Wasservice. Vanuit hier kan je makkelijk naar Singharadja rainforest (die regelen een tuktuk voor je). Heerlijk terras met ligstoel, hangmat, hang/zit hoek. Wakker worden door het licht, en oerwoud geluiden. Aan de rivier, en met een zwembad.

De prachtige boomhutten, voorzien van alle comfort, brengen je in de juiste mood om echt te genieten. De gastheer en zijn familie verzorgen de heerlijkste ontbijten en op verzoek ook avondmaal. Pure mensen die voor een onvergetelijke ervaring hebben gezorgd.

Sira's Chalets ligt aan het stand en biedt chalets met een terras met uitzicht op zee en gratis WiFi. Geweldig verblijf gehad en een hele vriendelijke eigenaar die ons zelfs een heerlijk ontbijt heeft meegegeven toen we midden in de nacht werden opgehaald om naar het vliegveld te reizen. Bedankt!

Hiriketiya Suka Place is gelegen in Hiriketiya met uitzicht op de tuin en heeft een restaurant, roomservice, bar, tuin en terras. De lodge beschikt over zowel gratis WiFi als privéparkeren. Redelijk snel bij het strand. Dat de eigenaar zijn broer adviseerde om ons naar de volgende locatie te brengen met zijn grote tuk tuk.

Pixie Haven Lodge Hiriketiya heeft uitzicht op de stad, en biedt accommodatie met een balkon en een waterkoker, op 2 minuten lopen van Dickwella-strand. Nice big apartment. Lots of space and modern facilities.

The Hidden Treehouse is a charming and unique place to stay! Surrounded by nature, there is so much to discover, just in front of your door. The garden is outstandingly beautiful, waking up with the sounds of birds and many other jungle creatures, we loved staying in this tiny beautiful house! Sadeepa and his family took such good care of us and couldn’t have been more helpful, lovely, caring and kind. The breakfast they made every morning was our highlight! Delicious authentic Sri Lankan food made with so much love! Thank you for everything! We truly recommend!

Ripple by the river ligt in Weligama, op 2,1 km van Weligama-strand, en biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en uitzicht op de tuin. I liked the location, the view, the room (ac was working perfectly, hot water, comfortable bed). The homemade food they were making was tasty and also reasonable priced. Also by the river seeing crocodiles, peacocks, monkeys and comodo dragon was fascinating.

Lemon juice villa is gelegen in Mirissa en biedt gratis WiFi en uitzicht op de tuin. The property was spotless, a beautiful chalet located next to a lake. My taxi driver (not related to lemon juice) had a problem finding the chalet however Dilum was very attentive and came out and found me and my taxi driver and took me to the Villa. He was extremely helpful. He helped me rent a scooter and attended to any requests promptly. I have to thank Dilum personally due to the fact I lost my phone in Marissa and Dilum went out of his way to track down and find my phone. I had an incredible experience there and even stayed an extra night. I saw a peacock on the chalet roof. One morning I was sitting on outside and a monkey walked straight past me. The value for money is incredible and I will defiantly be staying there again.
