Sandy Edge has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Kalpitiya, 400 metres from Kudawa Beach. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. Such a lovely host, they will answer any questions you have and can arrange trips for you. The host even took us to the little town nearby by tuktuk for free, very kind! The food is great, they even made Kottu especially for us cause we were craving it ;) The property is very nice and calm, few minutes walk to the beach. Property is just as it says on booking.com, even better actually!

Dinner is just amazing!!❤️ homemade food full of different flavors and made with a lot of love. For the rest everything was well arranged with the safari tours. 100% recommended 👌

'The Suite' by Wildhideaway is situated in Wilpattu, 35 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank, 35 km from Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, and 35 km from Kada Panaha Tank. Wow, what a little gem this place is. Highly recommend letting the Wildhideaway team look after you while you visit Wilpattu National Park. The suite was very spacious even for a family of 4. The bathroom was huge and modern with a nice hot water shower. The plunge pool was delightful, so refreshing. Location was so quiet and the air conditioner worked perfectly so made for very comfortable sleep. They arranged our full day safari at a good price, we didn’t need to do anything but turn up. They packed breakfast and lunch for us and then had dinner ready when we came home! The thing that made this place so special was the warm and friendly service from Anta and his team. Always there with a huge smile, making us feel so welcome, and the food they made for us (as vegetarians) was SO delicious, the best we’ve had in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka.

Offering free WiFi and an outdoor pool, Twin Waters Resort is situated in Chilaw. Free private parking is available on site. All units have a satellite flat-screen TV. We spent our first night in Sri Lanka at Twin Waters Resort. It is beautifully tucked away, so peace and silence are guaranteed. We had the beach completely to ourselves, and the pool area is also a wonderful place to relax. The bungalows are very spacious and clean, and the view from the veranda over the river, combined with the sounds of nature, is simply magical. The absolute highlight of this place are the hosts, Edward and Manel. They are incredibly warm and welcoming and speak very good English, as they lived in England for many years. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and clearly prepared with great care and love. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for tranquility and genuinely kind company.

With garden views, Nirvaan Safari Lodge is situated in Wilpattu and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. Some units have a balcony and/or a patio with lake views. We couldn’t fault Nirvaan Safari Lodge and had a fantastic 2 night stay. The food was amazing, all cooked to order with delicious vegetable, chicken and fish curries. The setting is idyllic away quite far from the road next to a paddy field. Lots of birds and insects to see. The biodiversity meant there weren’t many mosquitos too! The tents have everything you need. They aren’t big but they are comfortable with a spacious bathroom attached and a nice balcony to sit at. Ranil and his team really looked after us and their service is great. Our safari to Wilpattu was amazing and organised by the lodge. We saw leopard, bear, monkeys, three types of deer, crocodiles and many beautiful birds. The naturalist was a fountain of knowledge and made the day really special. Thank you for a great stay.

MKS is a fantastic spot to learn how to kitesurf from scratch. It has all elements required, good wind, good equipment, shallow warm waters and best of all, an amazing team of great kitesurfers who hosted us with love! The concept of morning Yoga was also super relaxing.
