Stay: April 29 to May 1 2024. This small hotel (8 rooms) was a gem during our stay in Montenegro and we did the right thing to stay 2 nights. It is a new hotel and Joana, the very helpful and attentive hotel manager, works very hard to fine tune issues that could arise here and there. Other than being new, a good breakfast, a PRIVATE sauna with shower upon reservation (which was not a problem, and we've used it), an outside pool and hot tub, free parking spaces and a magnificent view of the Durmitor mountains, made our stay a very pleasant one. A 24 h available coffee machine and a 3 flavors ice cream station were a treat. While in Žabljak, don't miss the ring driving around the Durmitor mountains (see picture), with an extension to Piva Lake - a 140 km drive we have done in a day. A must do drive, but not for the faint-hearted...

Monte Zone is in the best location — peaceful, fascinating, and surrounded by natural beauty. The atmosphere is calm, easy to breathe, and filled with comfort. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful house! The place is spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The highlight for us was fireplace, it creates the most magical atmosphere with the crackling fire and the scent of burning wood. During the winter, the house is perfectly warm. Every room has its own heater, including the bathroom, and there’s always plenty of hot water. After a long day of skiing, coming back to a cozy, warm house like this is just perfect. The location is ideal — peaceful, surrounded by forest and nature, with a stunning view of the night sky full of stars. The yard is huge, great for kids or pets to run and play safely. Even with heavy snowfall, the road was well-maintained, and we had no problems driving up to the house without using snow chains. The hosts, Andjela and her lovely family (especially her grandmother who greeted us so warmly), were incredibly kind and welcoming. They truly made us feel at home. There’s even a lake nearby, which makes the place beautiful all year round. If you love nature, peace, and quality family time, this house is an absolute gem. Highly, highly recommended!

Amazing lodge near a forest just outside Zabljak. Out in the open valley, surrounded by nature and sheep. Host was friendly and communicative. We had an issue with the heater, which was promptly replaced. Just remember that you are in the mountains, with nature all around. It can get quite windy due to the open nature of the surroundings.

I really liked the location.. It was very fun to spend the night in such a house. Absolute silence, very good people. The owner of the apartment is very cute and a lovely woman. She is very generous.. she brought us very fresh eggs and milk from her farm behind the house and it was delicious and we felt natural
