Beautiful cabines in the middle of the vegetation. Excellent restaurant. Really nice people. Close to the ruins and road to the waterfalls.

Cabañas la garita2 is a recently renovated chalet in San Cristóbal de Las Casas where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.

Lovely, private stay. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans for cooking but bring your own lighter. The views were stunning. Really charming place. Great staff. Easy booking and check-in. Would reccomend!

With mountain views, Finca Vallescondido is located in El Caobano and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and playground.

The property is beautiful and the kids loved playing in the creek and pools, even in the rain. The hosts were very accommodating of our last minute change in itinerary due to road conditions coming from San Cristobal. Delicious and hearty breakfast in their lush jungle roadside restaurant, complete with a serenade by howler monkeys. Location was ideal, between Yaxchilán and Palenque, with many waterfalls and attractions along the way.

Located in Boca del cielo, Entremares has free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. Some units have a balcony and/or a patio with sea or garden views.

The place is really good for staying for true explorers of the surroundings. Although the site of Tonina is closed due to the conflict with the land owner, there are plenty of places to explore. Higher unexcavated pyramid within an 30 minutes walking distance, waterfalls, local villages etc. The only but very important thing to know before visiting the place is that the forest around is full of ticks, so a special repellent and constant check the cloth and the body is a must here. The staff is excellent and gives all the information about the places to go, and offers warmth so you feel more like visiting the good family. The facility is basic but comfy. The restaurant may prepare the meals of the group big enough, or ask for it in advance as they need to buy the food for this special case, as generally there are not many visitors passing by due to the closed Tonina site. Help them to stay afloat and rent a night or two, that's worth it.
