Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the pool, Casa Cactus Buenavista is set in Bacalar and offers accommodation with free WiFi. Casa Cactus Buenavista was the perfect peaceful escape! The lush gardens full of birds, the beautiful pool, and our charming casita with a super comfortable bed, hammock and private terrace made it easy to relax. The WiFi worked great throughout our stay, which was a big plus. The staff — Jey, Sebastián and Mia — were warm, attentive, and helped with everything from taxis to beach clubs. We took an ADO bus to Bacalar and a short taxi (about 30 mins / 200–250 pesos) to the property, and got around easily without a car. We loved the breakfast and dinner plan — every meal was delicious (favorites were butter chicken, cochinita pibil and tuna poke bowl!). We also recommend Sebastián’s private sailing tour — a serene experience with guacamole and drinks on the beautiful northern lagoon. The small town of Buenavista feels rustic, safe and peaceful, with lagoon access a short walk away. We highly, highly recommend staying here!

Located in Bacalar, Azul Nomeolvides Bacalar - Guests Only provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. The hotel is located a bit outside the town of Bacalar, but that didn’t bother us. It’s a wonderful corner of nature with very friendly staff. The cabin is stylish, with plenty of lounge areas and a lot of privacy. We stayed in January, so it was quite humid and cold to sleep at night. The lagoon water is stunning—clean, with a floating platform and a hammock in the water. Breakfast was excellent and delicious, and the dinner was also of very high quality. Although the price is high compared to the rest of the region, the romance makes it worth it 💙

Boasting a garden and views of pool, The Diving Lodge Downtown is a recently renovated holiday home situated in Puerto Morelos, a few steps from Playa Puerto Morelos. The perfect Mexican cabins on the beach! The location was perfect for us, we enjoyed the short beautiful ten minute walk to town every evening for dinner. You can walk along the beach or down the street. It’s perfect while on vacation, especially after eating a great dinner. The best bar on the beach with the best and most attentive bartenders and staff. They are warm and create a welcoming enjoyment environment. There’s a restaurant, a pool, and option to get massages on site. The Greek restaurant had their re-opening after their remodel while we were there, and we had the opportunity to sample their food. It was good, nice to have the option. The bar also serves food.

Cachito de Cielo Luxury Jungle Lodge in Tulum provides adults-only accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. This was a beautiful room in a very lovely lush jungle area. The room was very large and comfortable. The bed and pillows were so soft and the rain shower head with hot water was the best shower I have had in Mexico. There was a fully stocked kitchen to cook. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Set in Bacalar, Tucán Villages Bacalar Lagoon Front offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. This location is Beautiful!!! The air conditioner was a welcomed sight! Cute set up in room. You get your own fridge and coffee maker. It’s truly perfect and super affordable. We felt so safe! Andrea was so helpful and answered my million questions. Truly one of my favorite places now! Tip tier! This was my first air bnb experience and I am so happy!

The host and Maria are incredible and very very helpful with tips and recommendations on hand :) Everything is so peaceful, calm and stunning it feels like time would go different there. We loved this place so very much, it was very special.

With sea views, Hotel Cielo y Selva is located in Punta Allen and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. The stay at Cielo y Selva was absolutely amazing. The beachside location is stunning, though the road to get there is quite rugged. However, I highly recommend opting for the boat ride—it's a much smoother and faster alternative. Once you arrive, the place is perfect for unwinding. The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive, making the whole stay even more enjoyable. It’s the ideal place to relax and escape, with every detail contributing to a truly memorable experience. If you are planning on going, i recommend minimum 2 nights.
