We have the whole chalet to us, a family of 4. We really enjoy the tranquil and serene of the environment as there is no phone signal or WIFI. The chalet was well into the jungle and facing the sea with the sound of sea ponding onto the beach the whole night. Good experience for my family.

We stayed in the Double Room, which was very comfortable and equipped with a fan—perfect for keeping cool at night. All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. Oh, I was almost forgetting, both land and transport are organized by the Fred and Sook Peng and everything went super smooth! Terima kasih Fred and Sook Peng!

El The Last Frontier Boutique Resort se encuentra en Bilit, en lo alto de una colina de 100 metros con vistas a la reserva forestal de Kinabatangan y a 2 horas en auto de la hermosa Sandakan. I cannot rate this place highly enough. Firstly the staff were the nicest bunch of people, who genuinely care that the guests have a great trip, and are passionate about the environment and the wildlife. Secondly, this is the only place in the area actually inside the jungle, rather than on the river. And that matters because you're much more likely to see an Orang utan in the wild staying here. We were lucky enough to see one, and the guys running the place were overjoyed for us. It was a truly breathtaking moment. And we saw monitor lizards and Hornbills causally wandering/ flying around. The guys running the place could not do enough for us. Also the food was great, and included. Travel is quite a hobby for me, I have been travelling the world regularly for over 30 years now and I have stayed in a lot of places, from luxury hotels to eco-resorts etc. This rates as high as any experience I have had anywhere. I wish there were more places run this well and with this much passion in the world.

Bayu Senja Lodge está ubicado en Kundasang y tiene vista al jardín, wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratis. We stayed at this lodge for one night. It's very nice and comfortable lodge especially the room with balcony. It's beyond my expectations. Very clean and tidy room. The toilet is also very clean, shower and heater works properly and great. The view from this lodge is very amazing although mount Kinabalu is not at our side but the view is still very nice and amazing. Overall, Bayu Senja Lodge ( especially the room with balcony ) is very nice, good and comfortable to stay. The management should build more room like this in the future. Once the lodge canteen starts operating, the lodge has become much better place to choose for staying.
