We felt very connected with the nature and spent amazing days.

It's very easy to get to via shared car aka colectivo. Some Spanish would definitely help, but with a sense of aventure and Google translate, you'd be fine!

The Amazon Muyuna Lodge is an ecolodge in the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Reserve , situated on the Amazon River shore, 3 hours from the centre of Iquitos. The location was amazing. Great to have so much wildlife around you. Meandering down the Amazon river each day was so relaxing and peaceful. Loved spotting all the sloths, monkeys and various birds from the boat and also when we did a trail in the jungle. Seeing an ant eater up close climbing a tree was a highlight as well as the pink dolphins. Our guide , Larissa was excellent.

The food is excellent, the staff are amazing. It’s clean, the pool was great. Surroundings and to sit in the garden looking at the Amazon river watching the dolphins you couldn’t ask for more. Also the excursions laid on were out of an adventure novel.

With the booking you get your own guide and you choose what activities you do in the day // evening. You have a 5* breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea, coffee and water whenever you want. We had the most amazing guide Remi who was so knowledgeable. I had a bites all over and he got some natural remedies for me and the bites went down very quickly. This property also gives it’s proceeds to libertad village to send kids to school and people to the hospital if they need it which it really cool! The vibe is social if that’s what you want or not if you want to keep to yourself. We had the most amazing experience here and will recommend it to anyone who is going to Peru.
