Lorena, the host, was amazing and made us feel at home every day while we were there. Breakfast was tasty and they were preparing it earlier than usual as we had early morning tours. We felt very connected with the nature and spent amazing days.

A jungle paradise just outside of busy Iquitos. The eco-lodge is on a beautiful property full of birds, plants, nature sounds, etc. and the pool is such a nice way to relax and cool off. It's very easy to get to via shared car aka colectivo. Some Spanish would definitely help, but with a sense of aventure and Google translate, you'd be fine!

The staff were very knowledgeable about the different species of animals. I really enjoyed feeding the bully monkeys that came down to the boat we were on. A great experience thru the Rainforest during high season.

O Jacamar Lodge Expeditions está localizado nas margens do Rio Amazonas, no meio da selva e a 120 km do centro de Iquitos. Danny was the best tour guide. He took good care of us and gave us the best jungle experience according to our needs. We saw so many different animals (sloth, baby alligator, piranhas, dolphins, birds, wolf spider, firefly and many others) during a short stay, thank you Danny! Didn’t got mosquito bites at the lodge at all, (but be prepared at night in the jungle🤫). Last but not the least, the food at the lodge was fresh and simply delicious (I tried some fancy restaurants at Cusco but I liked the food at the lodge more!)

The Amazon Muyuna Lodge is an ecolodge in the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Reserve , situated on the Amazon River shore, 3 hours from the centre of Iquitos. Lovely setting that felt safe but also connected to nature. You’ll automatically get signed up for excursions with a guide shared between you and anyone else who speaks your language that arrived that day. About 1 out of 3 excursions will be hiking and 2 out of 3 will be by boat. 4d3n was perfect, but the most exciting excursions were captured in the 3d2n plan, and if you stay longer you spend a night camping. Food is buffet style, and they accommodate dietary restrictions well. Maybe we lucked out but January was a great time to visit! Highly recommend this lodge!

Com vistas para o rio, o Milía Amazon Lodge está situado em Iquitos e tem um restaurante, uma recepção aberta 24 horas, um bar, um jardim e um terraço. Everything, the lodge is in the Amazon. The food is excellent, the staff are amazing. It’s clean, the pool was great. Surroundings and to sit in the garden looking at the Amazon river watching the dolphins you couldn’t ask for more. Also the excursions laid on were out of an adventure novel.

Apresentando um terraço, Libertad Jungle Lodge apresenta acomodações em Yucuruche. The staff are exceptional. My guide Joel came and picked me up from the airport and took me to the lodge in safety, which is approximately 2-3 hours travel. During my stay I felt completely safe as a solo traveller. The food was fresh and amazing every time with freshly made juices from local fruit in every meal. The lodge is beautiful and the rooms feature your own balcony with an incredible view. Regarding the facilities, the lodge is located on the river and is built with natural materials, so of course, expect to see insects. You are in the jungle after all! The mosquito nets do a really good job though, so I didn't have any trouble sleeping. Expect to hear wildlife noises from your room, although I quite enjoyed waking up with the sound of birds every day. The activities were super organised, and they offer a big variety for day and night experiences. All of them are wildlife experts, you get a personal guide, a personalised tour and a boat driver at all times. Don't forget to tip your guides! They will totally deserve it as well. They try their hardest to make your experience an amazing one! If you are crazy about wildlife, I recommend Joel. He could spot all sorts of animals from a distance, so I got to see a lot of different species. Both, with Wilson, the canoe driver, they had amazing coordination. I totally recommend the lodge and I would do it all over again. When you get there, you will see there are other lodges as well, which seemed to target tourists more, but not sure either. I am happy I chose this one and got to support their community!
