The room was comfortable and clean and they went out of the way to make sure we were warm and cozy…heater in the room, hot water for tea, hot water bottles to warm the beds, and tons of blankets. They transported us wherever we needed to go and made arrangements for our tour to Taquile. The food was yummy and the bed was comfortable. We even had a shower with hot water! I would highly recommend them for a stay on Uros!

Uf, very peaceful and quiet, amazing sunset. But, very cold during the night. You can have a gas heater all night but we switched it off and it was really cold during the night and morning. Just to know before where you go. But the place and the breakfast was amazing.

I'm so grateful to have spent time in this beautiful place with an amazing family. If you want to see the Uros please do NOT book a tour book night here with Leonardo and Lina instead. There are such lovely people and offer tours themselves so you can discover their culture in a more private way and the money goes directly to a Uros family. We went on a kayak tour and were able to discover the whole village ourselves at our own pace which was great. The room was really comfortable, the view amazing and the food tasty. Lina, Leonardo and their children are great people happy to share about their culture. I feel really privileged to have spent time with them. One thing to note is that they live off grid, you only have USB ports in the room, the water pressure is low and it's a dry toilet. But they have managed to make it really comfortable anyway. We were surprised to even have hot water when we didn't have any in a hotel in town.

This was one of the most interesting and rewarding places we have stayed because of the uniqueness of both the place and the owners, Juan and Amalia. Staying out on one the floating islands of Uros and learning about the history and traditions from a multigenerational member of the community was so inspiring. Amalia and Juan are both so helpful and kind and there three kids are a delight. It has been, by far, the highlight of this trip to Peru and Bolivia because of the special opportunity to connect and to slow the journey down and learn from a very smart and endearing man.

Situated in Puno, Titicaca Aruntawi Lodge Peru offers accommodation with views of the lake, and breakfast included every day. The property is 7 km from the city centre, and right in front of Titicaca lake. The rooms had a beautiful view of the lake and nearby green mountain. The beds were comfortable with an outdoor deck day bed as well. The night was cold, but plenty of blankets kept us warm. The food was fresh and tasty and each family member contributed to our wonderful stay. Transportation was arranged by the host from our hostal by taxi to the port and then a boat took us for a short ride to the hotel within Uros Island.

Juan - host - is extremely friendly and helpful - he will explain everything also will meet you at the boat station and tell everything about Uros as he lives there for all his life.
