Uf, very peaceful and quiet, amazing sunset. But, very cold during the night. You can have a gas heater all night but we switched it off and it was really cold during the night and morning. Just to know before where you go. But the place and the breakfast was amazing.

Wow! I'm so grateful to have spent time in this beautiful place with an amazing family. If you want to see the Uros please do NOT book a tour book night here with Leonardo and Lina instead. There are such lovely people and offer tours themselves so you can discover their culture in a more private way and the money goes directly to a Uros family. We went on a kayak tour and were able to discover the whole village ourselves at our own pace which was great. The room was really comfortable, the view amazing and the food tasty. Lina, Leonardo and their children are great people happy to share about their culture. I feel really privileged to have spent time with them. One thing to note is that they live off grid, you only have USB ports in the room, the water pressure is low and it's a dry toilet. But they have managed to make it really comfortable anyway. We were surprised to even have hot water when we didn't have any in a hotel in town.

Juan and Amalia are the most warm and friendly hosts. The room is huge with plate glass windows all around, well heated and with massive 230cm wide bed, turned down each evening with a hot water bottle! The price includes all meals and excursions on the Uros Islands. If you want beer or wine, best to bring your own or there’s a local shop Juan can motor you to.

The rooms had a beautiful view of the lake and nearby green mountain. The beds were comfortable with an outdoor deck day bed as well. The night was cold, but plenty of blankets kept us warm. The food was fresh and tasty and each family member contributed to our wonderful stay. Transportation was arranged by the host from our hostal by taxi to the port and then a boat took us for a short ride to the hotel within Uros Island.

Juan - host - is extremely friendly and helpful - he will explain everything also will meet you at the boat station and tell everything about Uros as he lives there for all his life.
